Joshua was not exactly bashed up badly after a year out of the ring so he cannot be tired.

As for the years when Fury didn’t have a match, imagine, we all know, except you, that he was having problems and was out of boxing. Then fought three times in 2018, twice in 2019, three months after that, once in 2020 and then the coronavirus complicated everything, plus the clause for a rematch with Wilder messed additionally. So between 2018 and 2022 he had eight fights – one more than Usyk did. How’s that for you?

As for the WBO mandatory and ‘what about the rest’, the IBF went first with their mandatory, hence why Usyk had a 2 year wait for the Joshua fight. It’s not like he jumped the queue.

He shouldn't be tired, but is mentally broken after the most embarrassing moment in all of sporting history when he threw Usyk's belts out of the ring, mocked the disabled in his speech and disrespected the heavyweight champion.

Fury would have a field day with Joshua on a good day, but AJ's current weakened state of mind probably wouldn't be fair game in all honesty. Unless big Josh tries the Wilder method and wears his sponsored by Beatz headphones and tries to ignore Fury. He could listen to some podcasts about the Ukraine war during the press conference to help further his studies.

 

I just don't see how a fight 2 years down the line will address his heart, chin, stamina, mediocre power and non elite boxing IQ issues at 32 years of age.

Chisora, Whyte and Joshua types are cannon fodder for Fury - all he can do is get in there before he gets much older, throw everything at Fury then retire gracefully or stay in the game taking over the Chisora gatekeeper role with 10 figure defeats before he retires.

 

If I was AJ as soon as I saw that video I’d have accepted immediately.

 

Mitch is probably the only boxing fan in the UK who doesn't want Fury v Joshua because afterwards he will literally have nothing to say.

AJ has called his bluff, no fanboy here but well played, I don't rate him that highly but he could still cause an upset, this slower version of Fury can be chinned.

Not going to happen, is it? Thing is, I think both men want it. Fury knows he wins the fight and AJ gets the chance to get the biggest win of his career when his career is at its lowest point. Why wouldn't either want it?

Boxing politics ie promoters/networks will ensure it won't happen. The bane of our sport. I love watching a good fight as much as I ever did but I've totally switched off from boxing news and speculation. 99% rubbish is what we're fed. Unless a fight is signed I don't get excited whatsoever.
