You can not have a major PPV like this in December anyway. The World Cup will dominate the broadcast landscape in December and it be very difficult to effectively promote the fight to general sports fans- as opposed to dedicated boxing fans. I think I might be alone in not really wanting the fight. If it did happen it have to be the new year and would delay/ put at risk Fury v Usyk. I don't really see Joshua beating Fury and I need an element of uncertainty to be interested in a fight. While I think Fury also beats Usyk I would put the house on it. I am not sure, so I am interested. I can actually see Delboy being wheeled out for either AJ comeback or Fury's tick-over, as he is a 'name' and boxing has no shame.
True, could be wrong but can’t see DAZN wanting it to happen next as it’s no way gonna be shown on there. Well not in uk anyway would they be happy with limited international rights? This no Eddie would be hesitant as well
Agree with all of that - I wish more people would realise that this isn’t about fighters “ducking” but more to do with promotion/broadcaster politics.
Yes of course, I very been calling for this fight longer than most here. Unfortunately due what's happened previously regarding this I'm not too optimistic that it will happen.
It's been Fury who has turned down the chance to fight AJ 3 previous times. However if the fight can be arrange for December not November at the 40% split then that's a fair deal.
This fight is actually gonna happen isn’t it? Both fighters want it, both promoters want it and a joint BT / DAZN PPV. Whatever you say about either fighter this will be a great event and I can’t wait!!!
Can’t see it going ahead really, far too near the proposed date to really sell this fight to the masses. if it does go ahead does this confirm matchroom are cashing out on AJ. Surely no way back if he loses to fury especially if fury beats him convincingly.
This fight doesn't need selling. They could have it next week and it would still sell out and make alot of money.
