FURY AJ IS STILL IN NEGOTIATIONS! - FURY STATEMENT

Gotta love how Hearn magically assumes the form of an avatar of truth and integrity to guys on this forum when they want to believe Tyson Fury or Deontay Wilder is ducking the product of New Thought and shiny facilities.

If Hearn and Joshua stall out another major fight, I guess we'll see the usual suspects weasel around and spin on their behalf in complete disregard of a lack of any reasonable grounds by which to hold Tyson Fury at fault.

On the other hand, who is Eddie Hearn?


Joshua was made a very good offer by Tyson Fury. It is an offer that Tyson Fury did not need to make. There was no onus on him to pursue the bout, with Joshua coming off successive defeats. That offer is still open and will remain open for as long as is reasonable, as any discerning observer knew it would, regardless of this past weekend's ultimatum theater.

(Of course, if the fight is made, the narrative will promptly refocus from 'Fury is scared of Joshua' to 'Fury is cherrypicking Joshua'.)


Whatever Hearn/Joshua decide to do, Fury was willing and ready to face Usyk in December. That is what he resurfaced for. Instead, at Usyk's behest, it'll happen next year.

Whether we witness any humble retractions from those who claim he's running scared of the Ukrainian stylist and Joshua when either of those fights is signed is another matter.

As a lifelong boxing fan who for most part followed the heavyweight division with avid interest, i am now quite frankly getting bored and annoyed by Fury, I am not doubting his innate skills and attributes inside the squared circle, it is all this crap, false statements and playground jive talk that we are bombarded with.

Fury is demeaning the title, call me a sentimentalist or whatever, but I always viewed the world heavyweight title as the ultimate prize, Tyson Fury you focus on the boxing, let the money men, promoters etc do the rest, if you must spout nonsense do so in fight build up, call it publicising the bout.

 

Fury is trying to get the fight on and telling the promoters to move the **** along - like any good fighter should do.

 

These things are done behind closed doors not in words typed into cyber space, multi million pound deals done via Twitter, yeah right.

 

Nah Hearn is being kept honest here. If it's not being done 'behind closed doors', fans can see that Hearn and co are ****ing about for once.

 

There's something very fishy about Hearn's side in all this. If they're so keen on the fight, why are they refusing to return phonecalls?

Fury's definitely not helping but still.

 

Hearn also refusing to go on Talksport, whilst usually he is very willing to do it seems odd.

 

The fight makes sense.

But negotiating a fight as big as this with all the different partners is a helluva task and cannot be put together in a couple of weeks.

Fight deals are like Alis quote that" fights are won and lost far away from witness. Out on the road, and in the gym, long before I dance under the lights." AKA both are initially won in private rather than in glare of the pubic spotlight.
