Wow! Firstly he cant knock out a glorfied cruiser weight and secondly he was clowning around like an idiot and finally he was just awful and could not pull off a simple combo and was easy to hit.
He's been out of the ring for three years and weighted nearly 400 odd pounds + and had severe depression and was on the verge of suicide/on drugs etc. Yet you expect him to come back and be the second coming of Ali? - he needs fights, this is his career reborn he'll need at least 3-4 fights until he shakes off the rust. He still has weight to lose and more fitness to gain etc. He knew he could win this when he wanted, as soon as he put a few together Sefari said no mas. Dunno what people expect, but the fight was never competitive, but Fury did what he needed to without ever really going past first gear.
Wow that was awful. Hard to even class that as a fight. Fury is light years away from being ready to take on Joshua.
How did this fight help with anything though. Didn't really help Fury take off some of that ringrust, fans are still paying for their tickets, and they got scammed out of their money with a complete joke non-fight, you have to give people their money's worth. Really doesn't help anybody to bring a guy who's so completely outsized and outmatched.
You hit the nail on the head. He needs to go back to Peter Fury right away and I'm going to tell him that. Peter Fury seems to be the only one that can control his mental issues. I did not expect much out of Fury in his first fight. Is he ready for people like Wilder and Joshua hell no. But he still has time he is only 29. But he needs to get back with Peter Fury fast.
It was so bad the 2 fighters started looking at the fight outside the ring in the crowd. Tv station showed have shown that fight would have been more action surely.
You don't have to give fans their moneys worth. You have to give Fury an easy night for a first fight back. If they want to be misled that's up to them. But even Fury VS Vlad was never "moneys worth" he isn't that type of fighter! You don't throw Fury in with someone who might actually beat him.. people don't understand promoting.
3 years of inactivity and 7 stone in weight lost in 12 months - trust me , he should have looked a lot worse. He stopped a guy in 4 rounds without even trying.
