Tyson was on about some 'game changing' news in Saudi. Makes me wonder if they are about to do what they've done with golf and hold their own heavyweight world championship, perhaps in conjunction with the WBC.

Saudi's have enough money that they could buy out boxing

Let the pondlife fight over plastic fake belts but really money is what people care about...belts would be forgotten about quickly.

Saudi's also like to deal with the fighters personally which makes scamming promoters SWEAT

I'll be pleased if the fight is happening but the atmosphere in Saudi Arabia is so so so so so so so very very ****.

The atmosphere in Japan is better and those guys sit in respectful silence during the rounds. The Saudis could host the fight in an empty soundproof room and the atmosphere would be no different.

Usyk does not deserve 50% if you go by who draws money

We say that it's not fair if Usyk gets less than Fury, but how is that fair to have Jake Paul earning 30 million dollars for his loss against Tommy Fury? Does Usyk deserve like just twice more than this punk? Does Tyson do? While I was suspecting that the Saudi deal was a bit of **it, now I'm even more sure, maybe not 100%, but still... Now we come up with the legacy - fair, but on the other hand, what legacy could that be being one of the greatest fights (Fury-Usyk), making two great fighters earning just twice more than two nobodies? What I mean is that there's good amount of other factors than the "one is ducking the other".

Fury's business ability has now reached Floyd Mayweather & George Foreman levels

He has basically secured both himself and Usyk tens of millions more dollars due to his stubbornness and unwavering stance on getting what he is worth as a fighter. It's not just him who is earning he is pulling a horse cart with many more boxers behind him including dossers like Wilder.

The Saudi's just like the Americans have now adopted him the Gypsy King, Son of Krypton and they will get paid their money.

    Won't be April through.

Which is exactly why it was a duck from Fury if he thought he was not given by them what he is worth.

Many things can be said about them but the Saudis know business and market value, that much is true. If they say your market value is x then that’s your market value - you won’t get better money in boxing than what they offer anyway.

    I agree.

Fury vs Klitschko - 545k PPV sales
Usyk vs Bellew - 600k PPV sales

And Usyk only produced better numbers than that while Fury hasn’t. There are rumours about the third Wilder fight hitting around 750k but it’s not confirmed. What is confirmed is Usyk’s last three fights all selling more than one million PPVs while Fury has never even got close to those numbers.

So you are right - Usyk doesn’t deserve 50%. He deserves much more.

A duck is avoiding a fighter because you think you'll lose to them you peni.

Saudi's know market value and business? You know nothing about the Saudi's evidently. The money is irrelevant to them they pay for the image & attention and Tyson Fury putting his fist through a midget isn't what they want. they'd prefer to see a midget slap a bodybuilder. Now they've personally met Fury & his entire family they are happy to invest but it has to be on their timelines which is why the Usyk bout has been delayed.

Lol. It's amazing how much nonsense you can spew out with such confidence. Really, I almost respect you for it.

Saudis don't care one bit about Joshua, Usyk or Fury personally. They only care about putting Saudi on the map in the sports management industry. That's why they tried to host an exhibition match between Nadal and Djokovic, that's why they host an F1 race now etc. That's all, that's why they put money into it - to get profit out of it while the profile of and the public opinion about Saudi also gets elevated.

Meeting Fury and his family, lol. So you think that the ridiculously rich Muslim nobility of Saudi (who probably don't have that high of an opinion about Christian Westerners and their lifestyles in the first place) are emotionally invested now in the embarrassment that is the Fury family? :D This right here is probably the biggest bull**** you ever wrote, and that's quite something.

Stop imagining that the world is revolving around a bald boxer. Nobody cares about Fury apart from people interested in boxing. The Saudis want to see a profit and want to see Saudi Arabia getting some better press and that's it - they couldn't give a flying **** about individual athletes, be it Nadal, Usyk, Fury, or Lewis Hamilton.

It's nothing to do with profit, which is why your assertion about 'market value' is wrong. They are operating outside of the sporting market, which relies on tix, sponsorship and PPV, and purchasing the events outright as a PR exercise. If you want an analogy it is like billionaires hiring international touring acts to sing at their kids' birthday parties. The fees paid bear no relation to the acts' market value in the music business.

Hasn't Usyk said he would fight Fury for free?

So why the hassle now over 60/40 or 50/50. Let's make this fight 60/40 and agree that if Usyk wins and there is a rematch the shares will be the reverse.
