Not just in terms of their fondness for nose candy, but they both also dethroned much better champions whose accomplishments in their careers dwarf these two mediocrities. Oh, and both Spinks and Fury have fragile mandibles that did/will limit their success in the ring. Twin sons of different mothers!

Spinks kept it together long enough to give Ali a rematch. So on that front, Spinks is a better champion than Fury.

Fury needs to be careful to not emulate some of the druggie 80s HW world champions and contenders, and not sniff and smoke away all of his career earnings on drugs. He could then make a comeback in 2028 as a broke 40 year old looking for a few pay days... Just like some of the 80s boys ended up doing.
