Could Fury come out of 'retirement' and ever build a resume that would surpass Usyk's if Usyk retired at this very moment? Fury defeating Usyk is not as impressive as Usyk defeating Fury (which I would bet on) in my opinion. But by extension, if Usyk remains in the heavyweight division for several more years, and fights top talent, would you rate his resume higher than Fury's as it stands? I feel sort of disappointed by Fury, he's had the makings to be such a dominant champion and an exciting one but has been so inactive and so hot and cold. I really don't enjoy this sentiment, but without Wilder, Fury's reign is awful. Edit: Im speaking in terms of general resume, not just at the heavyweight division.
Fury has that Floyd mentality, retire when it's risky and come back when it's safe. That is one of the reasons, why he will never be a great HW. It's really sad that people think he is great, just beating Wilder two times, because nobody was saying that, after his first win against Wilder. After his win vs Wlad, people hated him, especially in the UK, nobody was giving him credit.
Both Usyk & Fury want to retire... Usyk will retire win or lose against Fury Fury will probably find a way to keep fighting though because he has to, to stay sane.
Usyks two wins against AJ are better than any of Furys wins at HW. Furys win against a 40 year old trigger shy Wlad was not impressive by any means. Literally he won 8-4 and most of the rounds he won where via feinting and landing 2 more jabs. His wins against walking right hand no resume Wilder are also underwhelming. Fury had height and weight advantage in both fights Usyk came into the AJ fights with only 1 serious fight at HW and having a 20lbs disadvantage ( as well in height and reach) yet beat AJ convincingly on both occasions 8-4/9-3. Usyk is far better boxer than Fury. The only reason people are debating this is becuase Fury is a fat ******* and will outweigh Usyk by at least 40lbs
Who does he fight after he beats Usyk? Maybe a rematch depending if it's close? Joyce? Maybe Aj if he beats Wilder (he won't) Will Fury want to fight Wilder again? He's 3-0 Fury has nothing to prove after Usyk and vise versa I could see Fury fighting exhibitions for a time, but I don't think he will carry on too long
He is made for the WWE and would be it's biggest star He could do a few shows a year, as I doubt he would want to be away from the family long I don't watch WWE anymore, haven't in years, but I imagine a fury/lesnar run would be box office
Usyk is in line to be an 8 belt two weight champion. Fury can dream from his Morecambe deckchair about such greatness.
Don't you know a staring match with a 40 year old is the greatest win ever? Just ignore that most of them claiming that, claimed Wlad sucked up until that fight.
Not sure if the main post was edited after your comment but you can’t ignore Usyk’s insane CW resume. Not to mention the fact he fought everyone in their home country.
