Huh? Look at boxrec heavyweight rankings.

Like I said, a nostalgic throwback. (Aside from the steroids, although I'm sure Paddy Ryan would have jumped at the chance to use them, too.)

Um, not quite. You seem to be searching for excuses for the IBF there.

I know that Pulev got injured in the run up to the first fight so Hearn managed to get Takam in as a replacement madantory, but it's not relevant to the comparative leniency the IBF showed Ruiz Jr. and by extension Joshua. If anything it makes it worse, imho.

And whilst I do acknowledge that Fury got caught on nandrolone, the IBF would have been none the wiser at the time of their decision. UKAD tends to try to keep things under wraps until a final decision comes out (see the Dillian Whyte v Rivas fiasco when it was leaked and everyone was up in arms the WBC passed judgement before the case was finished). Fury's UKAD issues weren't reported in the media until June 2016, long after the IBF stripped him.
The other stuff about Fury running from a Klitschko rematch also doesn't play a part in things, as the IBF stripped him something like 10 days after Fury won the belts.

So yeah, I stick by the IBF are also guilty of favouritism when it comes to how strict they are going to be.

They have been inactive for too long. BoxRec takes fighters out of the rankings when they haven't fought for over a year.

But they are still scheduled to fight in October.

That's not what he wrote. He wrote that the WBC should strip Fury/should have stripped Wilder for not unifying. It makes no sense whatsoever.

If you want to criticize him for a very poor business decision by not fighting Joshua, I agree with you. But the only title-worthy fights out there were Joshua and Fury, and he is about to fight Fury for the third time.

6 weeks away and still no buzz, no promotion and no press conference. This fight ain't happening folks I'm telling you. Just like I said last time.

I wish Fury just took care of Wilder, but you moght be right. I don't think it'll ever happen. Fury might be stripped and Wilder might fight Whyte for the WBC title

I really hope I'm wrong but have you ever seen a championship fight with almost no buzz whatsoever? That under card was stacked so I would hate to see it all get scrapped again. If I were someone like Kownacki, and Fury pulled another fast one, I would sue or something because it's ridiculous to go through two camps and not get to fight because of Furys antics
