I don't think footballers or anyone participating in TEAM SPORTS like that should win an award like that anyway. Even if they are exceptional.
You'd be surprised. In recent times, Gary Lineker announced the winner on twitter before it was officially voted on (Was a cricket player, cannot remember who). It's all staged. Tyson Fury doesn't have a hope in hell. Raducanu will win it hands down, and it's not close. Even with the fake voting they can't rob her. If Raducanu loses I'll eat my hat.
Champagne socialists I'd like to call them. What I meant was, why would someone, could be anyone for that matter, tell someone to fook off when they're just doing their job? It may be all be true, dont get me wrong. However, you never hear the ones getting told off, giving it back. I myself find that very very strange.
I wish someone would do this at the Ballon d'or. "It's a team game. Don't waste my time again". Before chucking it in the bin.
Again it depends on the situation alot of the times you have to accept people are ****s as it can cost you your job unfortunatley. There are 100% situations where you only get the reaction part of the story though. I just know these celebrity types and alot are ****s. We've had to do all kinds of mad ****. Once we had to have the building at a certain temperature, lights at a certain level, exclusive toilet, special drinks and food etc just for a certain person who was going to be in the building for roughly 3 hours. Some of the stories I've heard about James Corden are mad. Again 90% of these guys are so media trained and fake it's like they have a split personality disorder.
Andy Murray has a ****ing knighthood?? I know they aren't worth **** these days (Elton John and Mick Jagger are 'knighted', FFS) but at least wait until he's an old man.
Giggs has also recently been charged with sexual assault which resulted in him losing his job as Wales manager. The 20-year veteran of Manchester United made his 800th appearance, scored his 150th goal and helped the club reach the Champions League final.
A Brit winning wimbledon twice is an amazing achievement and a Brit becoming world No.1 in tennis is unheard of.
Lineker grew up with his family in the city, playing football with Wayne. Their father was a greengrocer, as was their grandfather William and great-grandfather George, in Leicester. Barry Lineker ran Lineker's fruit and veg stall in Leicester Market, and as a child and a young player Gary regularly helped out on the stall.
Seriously most playes in the EPL are not great players, they are good at best, the top teams have really good players, tennis has a bigger talent pool than football.
You do not understand the concept of the participation pool of elite athletes in sport vs those at the very top being a factor. In terms of achievements. If I am the best 1 out of 3 people that is that great, right? But if I am the 1,000th best out of 25,000,000 that is even better, right? Or perhaps not, according to your logic in this thread. Lets close this conversation off here, and have a nice life mate. This conversation seems to beyond you and I have run out of patience.
