Fury himself said he was old, and that is why he was going to win. Wlad without Manny Steward is not a Wlad that is at his best. But this is no bad thing. New champions are supposed to beat the old lions to become THE champion. Tyson Fury DID IT, and will do it again. Which is only good for boxing. Vitali failed in beating Lennox Lewis....which was bad for boxing for the next decade.

Byrd is different though. The man is originally a MW and moved up to HW for the money.

Holyfield, Vitali Klitschko and David Tua, pretty decent resume for a fat middleweight.

Some people mentioned it right after the Jennings fight.
But, yes, there were lots of Wlad fans who suddenly started saying it after the Fury fight.

    Yeah, Fury said it.
It's pretty obvious that 39 is an age where any fighter is going to be past his best.

Wlad's still pretty good though, and probably would have beaten everyone else that night. But after the rematch he'll probably be done. He has a chance to win, I think, but only if Fury comes to fight out of shape or something.

wlad was semi shot. it was obvious.

fury remains a fringe contender at best, who has got lucky.

A 6'0, fat MW who literally ballooned up 40 pounds overnight.. :rofl

Still though, we have to respect this fat MW's resume. V. Klitschko, David Tua and Evander Holyfield. A hell of a resume for a fat midget.

Exactly in what part of his career did he look fat?

For your information, this is what a fat, out of shape fighter looks like:

Byrd is 6'1½, for the record.

wlad looked like **** in his previous fight. fury did squat, wlad did less than nothing. fury won't have a title long. you are a brit**** of the first order.

fury's performance was still garbage. you're supposed to take a title from the champ. not run, pose, and make faces. landing a few punches would have been nice.

i said he'd beat fury. never made any statements on how long he'd keep winning.
