    What other heavyweight upset?

    I'm racking my brain.

Abell is a big punching heavyweight with a very soft chin (and body, thanks Pulev)

That's the long and short of it. You can't even really say he's Travis Walker level, who has actually sprung upsets, knocked down high level talent, etc.

Just one of those mid-western level strongmen who bounce bums off the canvas at local dives.

Wish there was more to this Cinderella story but there isn't.

Anyway, what big heavyweight upsets are there that involve one chinny heavy being a massive underdog and blasting the favorite out?

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------

All I can really think of right now is Tommy Morrison being blitzed by Michael Bennt. That was a glass cannon duel that ended in an upset.

    What else, what else...

Tye Fields was a big punching oafish kind of guy, though he lacked any serious hype he was still probably the betting favorite against Monte Barret, who blasted him out in a round.

In reality no worse than Ding over Rodriguez.

Fury is hyped far beyond his true abilities.

Dings power has been legitimate for over a decade.

He's also pretty durable and has hung in there for a decision against plenty of bangers. If he wasn't he wouldn't of taken a ton of hard shots (Especially to the body, ****in' Abell folded after singular body shots from Pulev for how many knockdowns.. four?) to be able to beat Rodriguez to death setting up that last second hook.

Basically, Ding has been renowned for power for almost a decade. I have no doubts Abell hits hard but Darnell upset Rodriguez just as much because of his tenacity as his power...

I can't really say anything positive about Abell's durability when was knocked out by a 13-20 fighter... Avenged loss or not, the fight is on Youtube. The mans chin is britlee.

It's almost a frustration I'm having because I want Fury to lose so badly after watching him act like such a **** in the actual ring against Cunningham. Taunting him, doing some Ali/Roy Jones esque hands at the waist pseudo slickness... But when I type it all out it just seems so unlikely.

It's not that big of a deal really. yeah it would be an upset, but Fury isn't really a top fighter yet, so it wouldn't be a huge upset.
