Like it or not Fury and the greatest Muhammad Ali share a lot of parallels. Neither was given a hope in hell at beating the reigning champion of the day. Even in the rematch the 1st fight was written off as a fluke, and they were given next to no chance by most. They both have firm beliefs and both stand by these beliefs with conviction even though they may have been frowned upon by the media of their day. I believe this is a noble trait. They both barely made it past primary school education but they have a way with words and a wisdom that makes them stand out amongst their contemporaries. They were/are great movers, with huge fight IQ, and sheer will and determination. In their primes you can't simply be good to beat them you have to be great. They both were the catalyst for bringing the heavyweight division back to the forefront of the sport of their era's. Simply put you should want Fury to beat Wlad too!!!!
"Boma ye" means "kill him". I've always thought that only an animal would say something like that in a boxing match.
Yea it was disgraceful that they chanted that poor foreman he shouldn't have let the fight take place in Africa
Appart from the continent, for instance there are people in my hometown that say things like that, and I find it disgusting.
Boxing was invented so that men could settle disputes without dying Anyone who wishes to see death is a disgrace
It was just a chant invented by Ali to intimidate George to get a mental edge, it was not a literal thing or at least Ali didn't mean it to be.
Sure mate, like "uncle tom" "white men's toy" or "dumb gorilla". What a nice person that ali, he's "joking" all the time.
in terms of charisma and belief in their own ability, Ali and Fury are very similar in terms of dedication and skill, they're light years apart
