The "this isn't WWE" comment has no place in boxing even if those guys conducted themselves with the utmost class. I'd challenge any to point to a time when boxing was above antics. Well, except perhaps ancients but even then we had characters they just were punished because boxing to them was holy. From my perspective the WWE gets their **** from boxing not the other way around. Wrestling is a failed sport that needed to combine the antics of boxers with the live performance of a play to survive. I mean yes of course they do their own thing now, but take it way back and actually all of sports has a central figure and he was Heavyweight Champion. I think people just sometimes take easy answers as complete. Like Ali being inspired by Gorgeous George. That doesn't at all speak to why both George or Ali felt like they needed a character. The answers goes back to the first named Daniel The Jew Mendoza in the last end of the 18th century. All of sporting owes The Jew credit, or perhaps blames depending on your perspective of his contribution. No sporting figure pre-Mendoza sold on antics, and no sporting figure pre-Mendoza out sold Mendoza either. Since then Mendoza's style has known such terrific sellers as Johnson, Ali, and Money in our sport, but what's really important to understand is no one, no Mayweather, no McGregor, and no McEnroe are even possible without Daniel coming first. He didn't just sell based on generating buzz in the media, he set up the system that would translate buzz in the media into coins in his pocket. Just like now, Mendoza realized the biggest seller was outrage and so he was outrageous, for his day. Guys like Mayweather brag about how they're business minded guys, but in all honesty there has been little innovation since Mendoza and his tactics work so well just about every sport in the US has a Mendoza style figure. Though I doubt he's aware of the full scope of it, I'd call the NFL's Kaepernick a Mendoza for sure. Without Mendoza's connection between media and sport what is Kaep? A guy who needs the media to connect with sports that's what. This last bit I'll do quickly because I'm rambling but I do feel it's important to note. The English jew Mendoza trains the black Americans Tom Mollyneaux, and Bill Richmond, those guys do well in England which inspires more black Americans to try because America's more racist and loves them some owning another man and England is less into it. Richmond trains a number of prominent black American pugilist who bring what they've learned in England to the states. The "black american style" or black code came in the late 19th century as best I can tell and is a Jewish-English style in origin.
guess that is where his whole life has been spent. still no version of any hw with punch resistance would even be phased by anything any version of Cunningham landed.
The Real Deal might actually come out of retirement for this hahaha He was itching for a final fight years ago that nobody would give him.. Nah im joking... Maybe ;-)
