I scored it generously for Parker and still had it for Hughie by two points. Hughie threw a lot of nothing punches but still landed better shots than Parker who landed next to nothing. It was Hughies first step up in class and he was out of the ring a long time. I think he'd win a rematch clearly. His footwork is exceptional and he showed flashes of skillful offense. He's only 23 lads, going to be a hell of a fighter. The hate for the Fury's is once again disgusting. They've every right to feel aggrieved about the decision.
Then I must be very naive because it never crossed my mind. The Fury's and Hennessy have almost no pull, they're a tiny tinpot outfit they were never gonna be able to influence anyone with any power and the Fury's are such outsiders from the mainstream of the sport I doubt anyone would be swayed by them without some serious bribes.
I didnt see fury winning, but tbh, I fell asleep in the middle of the fight. But as far as I saw, those ***** jabs cant win rounds, specially when the other guy is punching your body like a truck. People forget to score bodypunches for whatever reason. I didnt see fury winning a single round (until I fell asleep).
They have a right to feel agrieved by the 118-110 scorecards beceause it wasn't a fight that either man deserved to win by that margin, but it was close enough that I dont feel any complaints about Parker gettig the win can be valid.
Yup. They're not a likeable bunch. This is in part due to how much they go on about being hated. If you say something often enough people will start to believe it and that coupled with a desire to look biased after the scoring controversies of late led to Hughie not only not getting the close rounds automatically scored for him by his fellow Brits but actively scored in favour of the friendly foreign champion.
