fury/chisora...great fight

I noticed fury using Wlad's grab tactic and walking his man to the ropes.

 

Yea, if you read Fury's interviews he admits his flaws and also says he wants to fight tall and uses wlad as an example so he obviously admires Wlads ability and style and wants to incorporate a little of his style with his own.

 

was there tonight and it was a great fight. Pleased to have been there and pleased that it was broadcasted on terrestrial TV

 

yeah he's also mentioned he really likes Larry Holmes. Hopefully he's smart and waits a few more years until fighting Wlad. Will be interesting to see if there is an offer to fight Wlad. Chisora can be safely ruled out. I want Wlad to face Povetkin next.

Never too much bothered about presenters or commentators to be honest.
Infact preferred the channel 5, good introductions and background, and the commentators didn't pick sides or get in the way - all in all a good job :good

Ha ha, you're a funny guy. If that fight went exactly as you people saw it but the fighters were German and Polish instead of English EVERYBODY on the British section of this forum would of called that fight for what it was, a great big dirty shitfest, with two fat men who both had no boxing ability. Honestly, I really could go out to the side walk in any given Cowboys game and see better boxing technique from rival fans.

I expected so much more, here was a fight where two guys of different color and at about the same domestic standard were facing up, I expected a lot, I expected fireworks, I was wrong...............

And these dudes are apparently better than Haye?

Agreed. Fury needs to do ALOT of work to be able to challenge the Klitschko's or at the top level. Chisora by comparison was alot poorer than I expected, he did not change his game plan during the fight, and was left just throwing hopeful bombs in bursts, as his stamina deserted him. He thought all he needed to do was land some bombs and he would take Fury out of there, essentially it was a 5-6 round game plan.

Was a very good heavyweight fight, and I hope channel 5 show much more boxing from now on!!

The UK boxing fans have known from the start that Fury and Chisora are not world level fighters (yet?) and saw that fight for what it was.
A domestic level scrap.
And for what it was, it was entertaining.

Just putting it out there my opinion, good domestic tear up but the reff was ****ing shocking what was he playing at letting some of those clinches carry on for ages, Fury locking chisoras arm up. Fury holding him over the ropes, the ref should of been all over that but he looked like a fart in a trance, and took his sweet time.
Anyone agree?

 

By British Heavyweight standards it was Hagler Hearns(we have been subjected to fights involving Skelton, Gammer, Williams and Fraudley in recent times), good action, Drama, and a bit of Comedy, loved the way tyson congratulated Chisora after his barrage in the 10th as if to say '****ing hell mate good scrap,' it just good entertaiment from the ring walks to the final bell!
