Throw in 25 years of Boxnation subscriptions and I wil give you 5% of the face value. Surely you get a full refund? If not Franky and Boxnation finished
If the event isn't cancelled surely they don't need to give refunds? Someone on here must have bought a ticket, surely they can check the t&cs on the back of it?
Can you imagine if Froch or Groves done this and the show went ahead with James de Gale heading the bill at Wembley? Surely at least the choice of a refund if the main event does not go ahead.
Honestly think he can get away without doing refunds as the event itself isn't cancelled, then again if he doesn't give refunds i wouldn't recommend he puts on another show in manchester as no-one will come
Think Franky is finished if he fails to at least offer a refund to all customers. Very few will buy tickets for his shows in the future as people forked out inflated ticket prices to watch Fury v Chisora and end up with a stack mainly full of pigeon poo.
Oh yeah absolutely, he'll be dead in the water.. Seriously though, hold yer horses, it's boxing and you never know there just might be a decent (better) replacement.. I know, pigs might fly but you never know.. :conf
If he does do refunds then the over/under on attendance would be around 1,000, that's why I reckon legally if refunds can be avoided that'll happen, and seeing as this fight isn't anywhere near as high profile as some think you can probably get away with it Just seen on eventim that doors open at 4pm, looks like all the other fights are on then.
I know that when the Ricky Burns v Miguel Vasquez fight was 'postponed' from March until April I phoned the ticket company I got the tickets from (eventim I believe) and got a full refund even though technically the event was only postponed for a month. I know it never happened but I got the refund before it was cancelled altogether, had no problem whatsoever. I even phoned the FW HQ to ask about refunds and was told if the ticket company were happy to issue refunds then that was fine by them. If the event has changed significantly from what was advertised and what you paid for (I think no heavyweight final eliminator counts as this) then refunds should be offered IMO. I'm not sticking up for FW here but I experienced no problems with refunds from his company in the past. I understand others may have had the opposite experience so I'll hold fire before forming an opinion on this latest fiasco.
