Good point, but I think Wlad was lethargic and almost shot. His reflexes were gone.

I always laugh when people talk about DW resume as if AJ or Fury have a who's who of legends they've fought. Their resumes are living off of Wlads name.

Losing weight is one thing, getting back to where you were before going on a huge downwards spiral is another...

Unless it was Fury's plan all along????

Trying to angle that way implies a mental uncertainty in Fury, if we are forcing ourselves to read into it.

It's random BS talk. Fury knows he's a joke. History books and boxing fans in half a century are going to point to Fury as a relative laughing stock, is my guess. I might look like an idiot in even just a week, but really doubt it.

People are foolish if they think someone didn't tip Wilder off after getting false info that Fury wasn't ready , he wouldn't have took the fight and he would have signed the Joshua contract. lol

Wilder DOESN'T take high risk fights unless he has an advantage...in Ortiz case it was his age and medical problems, he didn't even pass his physical ?

All this plays into a What should be a Wilder loss ...I say should bc IF the scoring is based on the Barclays criteria , Fury isn't winning if it goes 12 because they score backwards to the guy getting outboxed !

it's why I'm picking Fury by 11th round knockout as his team have to be aware to do everything possible not to let that happen.

    Nope.
He just wanted the payday and the opportunity without doing all the work and taking the risks. Now he just hopes to be ready enough, but I seriously doubt that.

What Fury says usually has a very tenuous relation to the truth of the matter. I highly doubt this was all some con and he was just trying to trick Wilder into a fight.

While this move to make this fight came out of the blue I do think this is a money grab. It's pretty obvious after 2 plus years of legal issues with UKAD and no way of making money he was strapped for cash. He signed with Warren because he offered the most money for his comeback fights. Warren paid him £5 mill per fight while Hearn only offered £3 mill for his return fight.

But recent reports of Warren being close to bankruptcy means he no longer has the funds to finance Fury's return. Warren made a gamble paying Fury this much hoping he could draw enough to cover his purses but it didn't pay off and he can't continue paying him PPV type level purses for guys like Pianeta. So they took this fight in the hope it generates enough revenue for Fury to retire and dig Warren out of a hole to pay off his tax bill.

They would of likely taken the Joshua fight but Hearn's been clear for ages Fury needs to beat a decent name first and without a belt Joshua/Fury would be hard to fit in with Joshua's mandatory obligations.
