To confirm, the gap inbetween fights is not called retirement.

retirement means your not fighting again.

I think some are struggling with the word, but understand English is not a first language to most in the world.

    The irony?

Look at the silly questions that you ask.

    Look at your opening statement:

“He is ducking AJ. The fight could be made in an instant if he wanted it. But he clearly doesn’t”

You do not know that he doesn’t want it.

Retiring for about the 5th or 6th time, takes a bit of pressure off, and lets him have some family time.

Just because he immediately hasn’t said that he wants it, it doesn’t mean that he doesn’t.

I know you’re not an idiot. I normally look forward to reading your posts. But I said only an idiot would make this accusation.

Now it’s such a ridiculous accusation for 3 reasons:

    1. He’s just had 2 hard, back to back fights.

    2. Neither AJ or Hearn has even been pushing for a fight, where it’s looking likely that AJ will be fighting Bakole next.

    3. At the moment, there’s no huge public demand for the fight.

So what is he ducking exactly?

There’s nothing to even duck at the moment.

They’re both coming off of losses.

AJ is coming off of a really BAD loss.

For it to be rekindled, AJ needs to come back and look impressive, before calling him out.

But until something like that happens, the huge interest isn’t there.

So it’s just ridiculous to claim that Tyson is ducking him.

It’s not like the whole boxing world is demanding it, but Tyson isn’t interested.

At the moment, it’s hard to get people excited for it.

So your accusation simply doesn’t ring true.

It would make more sense if you’d accused him of retiring and ducking Daniel Dubois.

There is some truth to this. Fury has way more to lose than Joshua. Another L on Joshua's record wouldn't mean much since he has plenty and two by TKO. Where as Fury two losses were to the current Champ. Another L on Fury record, and to Joshua at this stage in his career, would be a huge one lose on Fury's record.

    Tyson has retired numerous times.

Nobody has said that he won’t fight ever again.

    No obstacles?

    AJ has just been demolished.

Tyson has lost back to back fights.

The reason Hearn and Turki haven’t gone all out for it, is because the demand isn’t there at the moment.

It’s a hard sell, even to the casuals, for two guys to meet, coming off of losses.

It’s better for AJ to come back into the spotlight in a positive note, before they try and push for it.

There is nothing to even duck at the moment. Most of the casuals aren’t interested. The media isn’t that interested.

    AJ needs a good performance.

The fight would sell, but nobody would be really excited for it.

It needs to be built up again.

People should be pushing for Tyson to fight Dubois. And that might happen if he beats Parker.

At the moment, Tyson can’t be accused of doing anything.

Let’s hope that it still happens.

If it does, hopefully it’ll be better than Khan vs Brook.

But at the moment, the casual fan demand doesn’t seem to be there.

If Dubois was just a bit more talkative, he’d take most of AJ’s casual fan base.

If Dubois beats Parker, and Bakole beats AJ, AJ will be pretty much done.

Then the demand will probably be Dubois-Usyk 2, or Tyson-Dubois.

We really need AJ to come back and look impressive.

But at the moment, again, a fight isn’t even there for Tyson to be ducking it.

I don't care THAT much anymore, but being a fan of Fury I am very annoyed about a lot of his choices

He should have a greater resume and it would even elevate someone like usyk

Imagine if Fury had already beaten Joshua and maybe had a couple more of top wins? Boxing can be so frustrating at times and although I don't agree with the usyk goat talk, he has been an absolute breath of fresh air

What was your thoughts on Fury calling out Joshua at fairly quick notice after Joshua was coming off back to back losses to Usyk?

Joshua did call out Fury after he (Joshua) beat Wladimir

I think he did again recently

    It was a joke.

But AJ would have taken that fight, had Hearn not blocked it.

I’ve never been an AJ fan really. But I respect him. He’ll take on anybody. I’m actually surprised that he’s not pushed for the Dubois rematch. Unless he has behind closed doors. But he needs to take some time out at the moment. But I don’t think fighting Bakole is a great idea. I’m surprised that he’s not fighting a much lesser opponent as a tune up.

But he’s not really pushing for it.

    Neither is Turki or Hearn.

It’s not there at the moment.

It needs that spark again first.

There’s just no huge demand for it.

    What was a joke?

Fury calling out Joshua after Joshua lost to Usyk?

What makes you think it was a joke
    This will be good

How is he supposed to push for it if Fury claims to be retired?

I seem to recall that Fury was offered a shot at Joshua's titles at 60/40
That was when Joshua had 3 titles and Fury didn't have any

    I don’t mean a joke, as in - he wasn’t serious.

I meant that it was a joke to try and fight that version of him.
