He is either at home with the family or he at the pub. He is retired. He is old enough and has made all the money he ever needs. It could be that his heart just ain't in it anymore. I'm not sure why that is hard to believe.
Fury is a guy who would get himself up for big fights but would take lesser challenges for granted. That's just who he is. I dont take too much away from the Ngannou and Wallin fights other than Fury is a goof. He's a guy that only put in the work when he felt he really needed to. You can debate if that's the way for a HW "champ" to act but that's Fury.
I didn't think you were going to respond! If I wanted your attention, I would pm you. I don't. I only highlighted your name because felt it the right thing to do if passing comment and showing up your short comings
That's an interesting take I think he was a talented fighter Certainly made a big impact on the division
I have responded because you tagged me. I’ve already told you that I’m not debating this specific topic anymore. There’s nothing more to be said. The links support everything that I’ve said. Everybody knows this. So either move on, or come and debate me on something else.
Fury IS a talented guy. It's fashionable now to dump on him because of the Usyk losses but Fury at his best was a darn good HW. He had some unique attributes. A guy that big that can box and move is a rarity. He also had heart and a good ring IQ. That he did not always bring his best into the ring is obvious. Like Ali against Wepner, Fury was not above taking opponents lightly if he though he could get away with it.
No heavyweight of his size 260 6'8" in history or for a very long time forwards will move the way Fury could. Unique & special.
It's hard to make predictions, especially about the future. But mostly I agree with you. We've not seen another HW with his combination of size, agility and boxing skill before. He was a unique character.
Once again you are trying to quote your opinions as facts with the comment of "everybody knows this" which dont think appears to be the case. The links I posted which you are not able to dispute?
You keep replying for someone who said they won't, and doing so within substance. Sure sign of someone who is butthurt Maybe you should follow your own advice and move on You tied yourself up. As said, you weren't debating me, you were debating the threads. Still you can reply with the last word if it helps you sleep tonight
I said that I wasn’t going to reply. You then tagged me. The irony of me needing the last word, is absolutely hilarious coming from you. You’d argue that black was white and that night was day. It’s just your nature. Now I initially said, that not everybody had been pushing for the fight. Meaning that they’d not really gone all out to push for it, like they have done in the past. You then sent a link that SUPPORTED what I’d said, as it said that Frank Warren hadn’t spoken to him about it. Again, that SUPPORTED what I had said. You then tried to say that Frank couldn’t have spoken to him about it, as he’d retired. Yet in one of your other links, it literally said, that despite Tyson having retired, that Turki was going to speak to him about it soon. Those were your links. I’ve also told you that Frank and Tyson are close, and that if Frank had really been pushing for the fight, that Tyson having retired wouldn’t have prevented that, just like it’s not going to prevent Turki from doing it soon. Read carefully: YOUR links have SUPPORTED what I have said. The end. Come and debate me on another topic.
Funny you say this because when Fury offered it to AJ, after AJ lost to Usyk, with a 60/40 split in Fury's favour AJ ducked it, AJ wouldn't accept 50/50 when they were both champions and Hearn offered Fury something like 70/30 in AJ's favour when he had the titles. AJ's excuse for not taking it after his Usyk loss was that he needed to rebound, if AJ had a title now and offered it to Fury 60/40 everyone would call that generous. Fury's retired and I understand on his side why he never took less money considering he was a bigger draw over most of his career. If AJ has any sense he'll retire too.
