Some right morons on here, Tyson pulled out after his wife having a miscarriage and his uncle + former trainer fell into a coma... obviously his head would be up his arse should he get in the ring let alone against a guy he hadn't prepared for.

    Tits.

his wife had a miscarriage AND his former trainer fell into a coma at the same time?

    seems highly unlikely.

He lacks discipline, work-ethic and professional attitude. Add to that unprofessional management (decision to pull out of Pulev eliminator) and you have a fighter who talks a lot but achieved very little inside the ring.

So you honestly think the furys are making this up? These are grown men not 12 year olds.

If that's true, I can't blame Fury for pulling out of the Ustinov fight.

The question is would he have pulled out of the Chisora fight, if yes then fair enough. If no then obviously he pulled out for other reasons than his wife and family.

so the wife's miscarriage didn't stop him, they kept on, even after Chisora backed out, THAT would seem like an opportune time to cancel the fight, your opponent is out and then you find out your wife had a miscarriage, but despite those two things they still sought out Ustinov. Then after the weigh in, the phone call about the uncle's operation becoming more compicated did stop him, 24 hours before the actual fight, when his wife having a miscarriage with his unborn child, terrible crushing news, didn't even slow him down - they just admitted they didn't even have an opponent at that time because Chisora had already dropped out.

With no opponent and your wife having a miscarriage, why would you scramble to find another opponent at the last minute rather than be with your devastated spouse?

This is the strangest explanation ever. They are trying to show what a trooper Fury is by pressing on despite an opponent dropping out and despite his wife's miscarraige but this seems some very inconsistent behaviour.

If you would rather go and arrange an entirely new opponent and scramble for one, after hearing your wife just had a miscarriage, if THAT news wouldn't stop you, when at the time you didn't even have an opponent, this was an ideal time to bow out and for all the right reasons, then why would the news of these alleged complications with his uncle phase him when he did have an opponent and it was all lined up to go in 24 hours?

So, to be clear, your wife having a miscarriage is horrible news, but it is not distracting enough to go in blind vs a brand new opponent but already known to be ill uncle has scheduled surgery that becomes more complicated ahem AFTER the weigh in we are told, and the fight is off.

It just seems to me totally inconsistent behaviour.

You can say those of us that dare to question these actions are insensitive however I wish nothing but the best for him and his family and hope he isn't using these issues as a shield from the truth.

I would HOPE his very next move whenever he starts talking again is to request tp fight Ustinov immediately to squelch all of this.

So after that long winded effort your basically saying you believe the fury's are making it up.

They didn't seek out Ustinov by the way, that's who the promoter of the fight wrank farren offered to them on about 3 days notice after Chisora dropped out.

I imagine they wanted to fight on at that point for financial reasons and to keep fury active after a full camp.

Obviously Tyson would have been struggling mentally with his wife's miscarriage, but the combination of taking a risky replacement in Ustinov, and then him showing up in his best ever shape (a little bit suspect) and then after seeing that to be told your former trainer and uncle, and your current trainers brother has become critically ill, would have been one thing too many for most mere mortals.
At the end of the day boxing is a business and a risky one at that, and if your not 100% there mentally then its very dangerous.
But clearly there's bigger men posting on here who would have carried on no problems

Jesus Christ, people on this forum coming across like a bunch of 12-year olds with no life experience. My father came down cancer last year - that threw me for a loop for a while and even though I carried on working, I wasn't quite myself and didn't put in the same effort I normally do for a few months. Everyone understood that - it's normal. If Fury was in a similar situation here there is no reason at all to slag him off. He's tried to make risky fights for a good two years now and only seen them fall through. He may not be the best fighter ever, but he deserves the benefit of the doubt. Especially in a situation like this.

No matter the reasons, Fury's credibility and marketability is shot to pieces. Fury vs. Chisora wasn't selling out the venue now. How horribly will this sell come October?
