I think Tokyo Douglas is because of his offensive output. General everyday Buster is not as good as Tyson.

Although Fury in Wilder 2 fight is a pickem. I think if you had the fitness of Tyson from the Vlad fight with the offense of the Wilder 2 fight that would be the best version available and that would eclipse Tokyo Dougles for me.

I would agree though that every day Buster isn't as good as everday Fury. I maybe should have worded it better in my original post.

You would give him a chance V anyone on that performance but look who he was against:

A guy who can't fight on the back foot, had no inside game and hadn't been tested enough to know how to react when hurt or to keep separation.

Now switch Lennox into Wilder's shoes, he could fight on the inside, had a devastating uppercut, could box with excellent footwork or straight up fight when he needed to. All of a sudden Fury's raid's might no prove as fruitful. Fury's size and skill make him a nightmare but other fighters give him a tougher fight than Wilder.

In the 3rd fight Wilder's body jab was having success early and stopped Fury building up momentum so Wilder was on the front foot a little more we also saw some hooks to the body which we had barely seen across the previous 2 fights.

I'd certainly favor Fury over Vitali who tends to do well in these type of fictional match up as a wide base and lean back style aren't going to be successful against a guy who's bigger and has better footwork and a longer reach. He's already beaten Wlad - I think he beats Wlad 8/10 just because of the feints and footwork offset Wlad's jab and if Wlad's jab doesn't work then he doesn't throw the straight right.

You need a certain size to deal with Fury so Lennox i'd make 50/50

Holyfield would be interesting but maybe too small after my previous comment but if Cunningham can drop you Evander might be able to and capitalise even if only by banking rounds on clean punching.

I don't understand, Wilder is called a technique lacking cherry picking bum... but it makes Fury h2h one of the greatest?

it was easy for him to look good

wilder was a $hit boxer to begin with and put on one his worst performances that night

Fury barely made it out of the first and third fight

if beating a c+ fighter like wilder is the gold standard then boxing is in real trouble

Watch FOTC Joe Frazier, the first Holmes-Shavers fight, Muhammad Ali vs. Cleveland Williams.

    Nowhere near the best.

I feel the same. To me Fury Wilder III was like a junior league (but still highly admirable) Holmes-Norton in the sense that both men looked like champions. The amount of heart, courage, fortitude, Championship Mettle was absolutely astounding.

I don't see guys like Joshua or Ruiz beating Wilder, and I think Usyk would have to be 110% to do so.
