Once Klitschko retires the Purrity loss will be forgotten and all the top ranked contenders he defeated will be considered great fighters, if history repeats itself, like the 80s and 90s. In fact some posters who consider themselves super-knowledgable about boxing don't consider the complete picture when the evaluate previous eras with the current one, at least they don't consider the whole picture in terms of the old timers. Like how ATGs had the benefit of gift decisions they didn't deserve and how fighters now considered great were considered hype or crap back when they were boxing. Criticism of Deontay Wilder is close to verbatim criticism leveled at Gerry Cooney or Tommy Morrison--- "protected slugger, yaddah yaddah yaddah."

He also said that a fight with Price was a £20m fight. Fury says a lot of things.....

It potentially could have been if Price didn't lose and one off them became a world champion. Its Manchester vs Liverpool but in boxing, it would sell out Old Trafford or Anfield easily is marketed properly

Possibly but Fury actually used it as reason to duck his mando fight with Price due to "not being offered £20m".

Man you're just a Wlad nuthugger. Boxing fans wanted to see Fury face Haye. How can you call it a duck went he was going to face a much better fighter facing Haye you ***? Pulev is just a Euro hype job that punches like a girl. You Wlad fans fear the hell out of Fury and Wilder. Wlad fans are not true boxing fans at all.

He probably said that as a joke, think Frank Moloney won purse bids and offered Fury 100,000 pound for the fight which definetly isn't enough considering how big the fight could have been in the future

Yes, Fury wanted a big money fight with Haye, should have known that Haye would back out, he backed out two times...............If Fury had fought Pulev, it would have been for the mandatory for a shot at Vlad...........but Fury did not want to fight Pulev..........

WHy the hell would he fight Pulev for **** money when he could have made lots of money to fight Haye? He didn't know Haye would pull out twice. Being Wlad's mandatory for his worthless belts means nothing. Wlad fights people out of the top 10 all the time.. Trust me is Fury would have beat Haye Wlad would of had to face him at some point. I'm sure Fury is not scared of soft punching Pulev.

Yet when Wlad pulls out of the volutary Chisora fight and signs to fight Haye in unification, it's a duck.....though it was the fight EVERYONE wanted and unified the belts further. Gotta love the haters double standards and hypocrisy.
