if this is true then the least he could is actually get in shape and find a top trainer. how can you give something up but never really give it your best shot. tyson fury has not given boxing his best shot by a long way.
i dont know what to make of this comment on facebook by fury but ive just watched the fight from last nite and i thought it was one of his better performances.
I wasn't that impressed by Fury on Friday, and I'm honestly not surprised by this. Before the 2nd McDermott fight he seemed very different, no **** talking, saying he would retire if he lost. He had hardly any sparring for that fight and was far too heavy. He won but looked unconvincing a lot of the time. I don't think he will retire but I'm not sure how far he'll go if he won't properly commit himself to the sport. That is assuming that quote is real, of course.
obviously it has. for one thing the whole comment is out of character for tyson fury who is full of confidence, not depression.
Watched the fight last night, Ermm in phases he looked pretty good, Then as fight wore on he got ridiculously crude and it became a mess. He fights really well for his size on inside, Showed some good defence early anticipating Power's lunges, He throws some lovely combinations. On the other hand he shows some real technical flaws, I actually like what Hughie said to him, It was the right technical advice. Tyson didn't take it on board, He over shoots his right hand and falls in and then smothers work. I'd grade that performance out of 10 7 out of 10. Should of stopped his man in last 2 rounds, Power was blowing out of arse.
