That is the view of respected Brit boxing journalist Colin Hart and he has a good arguement, he went on in the same article today to say slowly but surely Fury has eveolved as Btish boxings version of Muhammad because like the greatest, he has transcended the sport. Is Hart right saying that as members of ethnic minorities both antagonised the establishment etc. Is this far fetched?

No... Nowhere near for me.... Think its being hyped to high heaven because of the manner of victory Saturday and his out of the ring struggles... In this day and age where everyone and there mum has depression it is a great story so he is inspiring a lot of people.

Better than lennox now... No..... But no shame in that he still has time... And he's doing brilliant.. Good on him... Hope he does

I think lewis beats fury 7/10 and is far better offensively, has a deeper resume aswell but he was Ko'd twice but solid but not great fighters. Lewis did alot of demolition jobs on big heavyweights 1 and 2 round knockouts, class and brutal performances, he dogged V klitchko past prime, great win, shutout out tua but so would of fury, and beat holyfield twice (off 1 was a draw). If fury beats joshua he can go number 1, wilder and joshua are prime.

To transcend is to go above the limits that were thought to be possible. He beat Deontay Wilder, hardly something that seemed so difficult or impossible to do. Most boxing fans predicted that any top level in their prime would make Wilder look foolish. Comparing him to Ali? Wow.

Ali beat Foreman. George Foreman was knocking out everybody. People thought Foreman was going to permanently damage him. People were worried for his health.

Love fury but fury would have to beat Aj, Whyte, win his passing of the torch fight against the next big thing (DDD)? and retire undefeated to do so

Lewis was far better than Bruno, do you mean in terms of fame?

Dubois is nowhere near Fury`s level, I dn`t think he`ll bother staying around long enough to beat Dubois, he said AJ and Wilder were the top heavies and once he took care of them he would retire.

Ridiculous. An ancient vlad and wilder? There’s people on milk cartons more recognizable than the rest of his resume.

Hart said just like Ali, he has turned loathing into love and by the sheer force of his personality is now an international icon. If proof was needed, within hours of beating Wilder , President Trump invited him to the White house.

Well then Colin Harte has entered early senility!

Fury is way off Lewis as yet, that’s not to say he couldn’t surpass him but he needs another half a dozen signature wins to get close.

What were Lewis`s half dozen signiture wins, and what were the ages of those fighters when Lewis defeated them?

Only way that's possible would be based on popularity, and even that's going to be hard to gauge, since they came from highly different HW eras. In terms of resume and accomplishment, he's got a long road ahead to catch LL.

    Tua
    Mercer
    Morrison
    Klitschko
    Rahman
    Biggs
and quite a few more (if you want their ages then go do the work)

Lewis also reigned over the division for a few years, many as undisputed Champion
