Thank the Gods someone's able to post with a little perspective. Fury's win on Saturday was indeed impressive but, I feel that Wilder was never quite the all conquering destroyer that the likes of the LDBC perported him to be.

I've said for years that Wilder was a KO waiting to happen and envisaged someone with the required confidence and aggression to be able to push Wilder back and steam roller him in pretty quick fashion.

It’s always been very obvious Wilder can’t box, he does what he does and is successful against fighters outside the most skilled. Kinda like prince, who I knew would get his ears boxed off when he hit the top levels.
I would pick Mercer over Wilder so that tells you how high I rank this wilder win.

Lennox Lewis is still Britain's best ever heavyweight, imo. He put together a good resume over an extended period.
Tyson Fury might be no.2. That no.2 position would probably be between Fury and AJ. The winner of that would be no.2 British HW all time.
Fury has two big wins, Wlad and Wilder. He'll be remembered for them come what may.
If Fury beats Joshua, maybe Wilder again, Usyk say and been consistently impressive, he might have a case then, imo, if he's gone unbeaten and considering his problems at one stage to make a successful comeback.

I agree to be fair. The Mercer that gave Lewis all he could handle would steam roll Wilder ala Tommy Morrison and brutalise him in the first few rounds

Love Fury and he still has time, but Lewis has a hell of a resume

Also when you talk about h2h between atg fighters, Lewis is right up there

    Mercer
    Morrison
    Briggs
    Tua
    Bruno
    Tyson
Holyfield x2 (he did effectively win twice)
    Rahman
    McCall
    Ruddock
    Vitali

I have likely missed a few, but that's a solid resume. He could of possibly had bowe, but he avoided him

Funny thing is, around that time I think Bowe might have taken him

Vitali was beating Lewis before being stoped by a cut and was far better than Dubois is now.

Dubois is too short to beat Fury he doen`t have the ability to get past Fury`s jab and get inside, Fury was better v Wilder than he was v the southpaw Wallin.

Please. Vitali failed his passing of the torch, Lennox denied him.
