I think if he fights anyone before Joshua, it'll be Wilder.

They have a signed contract that an arbitrator has yet to rule on.

Are the going to pay Wilder to go away and then fight someone else in a tuneup? Just fight Wilder. He's an easy win for Fury. Everyone keeps telling me so. (LOL)

Don’t see why he can’t work in a couple tune ups vs Pianeta/Sefari level journeymen between now and June if he really feels ring rust will be a factor.

I get the impression that this intentional framing of himself as a hard-pressed underdog is just Fury playing mind games with Joshua.

This framing of Fury as some kind of mind game kingpin is sounding more and more like trump being saviour of the world.

    Neither are true.

This is his own fault. He should have just fought Wilder again and beat him if he is so confident that he can beat him. Then there would be no excuses. But this is Nandrolone Fury we are talking about. Mental illness, cocaine, wild boars testicles, drinking, inactivity, take your pick. He has a different excuse for every time he can't live up to the hype that a lot of you have brought upon him. He has never defended a belt. Ever. He has however been caught on steroids. When will you guys see this fraud for what he is, like the way you see Wilder for what he is now? i was saying that chump was a fraud LOOONG before he lost to Fury.

Fury is coming into the fight as a clear favourite off the back of the Wilder performance so the mental pressure is a bit off Joshua. The majority are expecting him to lose so if he gets outboxed, no big deal, he can come again. Fury presenting himself as being poorly prepared and out of shape serves to put that pressure back on Joshua and amplifies the significance of a potential victory. It’s it’s not exactly rocket science. Fury exploited this angle in the lead up to both Wilder fights so it makes sense that he’s trying to do it again.

Fury fights better when he perceives himself as the underdog. Probably self motivation. Nobody needs to see Fury vs Wilder 3 after the last two fights.

Fury is saying that the AJ fight isn't any closer than it was a year ago and the inactivity is no way to go in to a superfight.

If this fight doesn't happen next, like in the next 4 months then there are going to be problems.

It won't be for the undisputed, something will have to give simply because mandatory challengers have to be fought, Usyk has already been binned off once, he is apparently now fighting Joyce.

Usyk can't be expected to wait around for Fury to have a tune up, then wait for AJ and Fury to have two fights, it's not acceptable and nobody should expect him to do so.

Then we have the WBC and also Wilders situation with Fury, I can see this slowly unraveling over the next month or two.

Good to see Fury realising his situation. Hearn wants to get the fight done ASAP to get their advantage, while the initial excitement is there and Fury doesn't reflect too much on the fact he's facing a dangerous opponent after over a year out.
This fight is very important for Fury's legacy so he should make sure everything is perfect and not be goaded into it unprepared.
The fact he CAN beat these guys despite being rusty doesn't mean he should risk it. Because he can also lose. He almost got flatlined against Wilder with that attitude.

Ah yes the Great Tyson Fury. At 6'9, 280lb, he is the most powerful and most skilled heavyweight to ever exist. Fury Hits harder than Earnie Shavers. He schooled Wladimir Klitschko and destroyed Deontay Wilder, while Joshua went life and death with Fury's sloppy seconds and ducked Wilder. Ah yes, Bum Joshua doesn't stand a chance. A chin made of the finest of porcelain. Fury has a chin made out of steel forged from the gypsy gods. Only knocked down by the powerful nuclear right hand from undefeated world champion Wilder, and Cruiserweight Steve Cunningham and Neven Pajkic, who both in particular have a combined KO ratio of 60%, WHAT POWER !!! Joshua got destroyed by a pillowfisted obese middleweight journeyman 2 weeks notice.

Ah yes our invincible God Fury will toy with Glass chin Aj. Aj doesn't pose a threat whatsoever. Eddie Hearn and his goons are EVIL !!!! They want to catch Fury at his weakest despite the fact that it was Furys choice not to fight Kabayel. Fury will put fear in Joshuas heart and destroy him in the ring.

Thats what you people sound like. If Aj beats him convincingly im going to laugh my ass off

Frank Warren is on record as saying that Fury didn’t fight Kabayel in London last December because he rejected the purse being offered. Just Fury being Fury, half the lies are true.

He now has a contract with Top Rank and ESPN with a guarantee minimum of $20 million regardless of who he fight. So in a similar situation as Canelo’s original DAZN deal, they don’t want put together fights that will put them in the hole by $20+ million. If he would have taken anywhere in the $2-$5 million range then he would have definitely fought by now.

Top Rank/ESPN has really lost a lot of money in boxing since this pandemic and is having the same issues covering Bud’s $3.5 minimum unless it’s against Errol or Pac. Major reason why they are being hard pressed about making the Shawn Porter fight. PBC is in the same but haven been protecting themselves from huge losses by having these weird PPVs every month.
