that cannot be compared..wlads fight with purrity was his 12th fight in 12 months plus purrity is tougher than anyone furys has faced yet..the two cannot be compared.wlad wasnt as flawed at 22 as fury is now
that fight sucked! i couldnt believe i wasted my time watching that. i thought the 2 dudes would have some kind of boxing talent but they dont. by round 2 these guys were huffin and puffin. chisora looked like crap just trying to land a huge hayemaker and tyson looked like he was tickling chisora with those punches. there was no power behind there! the fight disgusted me because of the lack of professionalism by both fighters and their lack of skills. I see both guys dieing in the ring vs a klitschko
A comparison between the talent of the two boxers is not the point I was making. Let me ask you a question, do you thing at the age of 222, that Fury will never improve even slightly?
ofcourse he will improve..but you look at what talent the man has now..lets be honest..hes not very talented.his jab is weak and his defence is very poor..technic footwork and power again nothing special..he is obviously going to improve on that.but not by much because you can tell he dosnt have that much raw talent....now when wlad was 22..he looked then like he was going to be a world beater and guess what he was..and if ur not making a point between talent what are you making??you said wlad had already lost by the time he was 22.i was just saying u cant compare as wlad was fighting more frequent and against way better op
Love Fury but I see David Price as a better fighter at this point. Fury is still very young and has time to develop, I think a few years down the line he will be holding a world title.
the thing i luv about fury is that he is extremely limited, but, he knows how to make the best of what he has.
Yes heavyweights can improve, but let's be honest here Fury is lacking basic boxing skills. His footwork is horrible, his punching technique is absolutely amateurish. He never learned to throw a hard punch, align his feet and get torque from his hips. You learn these things in the first 1-2 years of your amateur training in your early teens. Not when you're 23. Fury reminds me of Valuev. And look at what they managed to do with Valuev. He too lacked most boxing fundamentals. They were never able to teach him to punch hard but they were able to teach him to stick his jab out and they were able to beat up a couple of old have beens. That's the future I see for Fury. But he will never ever become a good boxer. He will never learn how to punch a snappy 1-2 combo with proper timing. He will never learn how to throw a hook with proper power from his legs. Not in this lifetime.
Very good insight. The Valuev comparison is a legit one, although Valeuv has a better basics of boxing........at this point. (Fury may improve, you never know) At this point, even someone lower like Arreola or Thompson thrashes him.
Just goes to show how low expectations at heavyweight have sunk if people are impressed by Fury. Bruno used to be accused of being robotic and uncoordinated but he looks like Sugar Ray Robinson compared to Fury and Chisora.
