This is not for the WBC strap - just the "lineal" etc. And Ruiz does have a puncher's chance against any HW - including Fury.
He didn`t cut the ring off at al in his rematch v J and has never fougt a fighter that moved the way Fury moved v Wlad plus he`s never fought a 6`8-9 fighter with a 85 inch reach either.
It's a money fight foe both and it's one that Fury believes he can win. Yes it's better if Joshua beats Usyk as it will be for all the marbles. Fury and John Fury have both said in multiple interviews that Tyson's already won all the belts and doesn't need to unify.
Whoever becomes undisputed HW champion after 22+ years (25, maybe 30; maybe more); boxing history will remember him well.
I think everyone agrees with that. The point I'm making is the Fury's have an out if Usyk wins. If anyone else unifies Fury will be a side note. He fancies the task against Joshua not so much Usyk.
If AJ can pull off the win (by clipping Usyk and finishing him) Fury & Hearn will wet the bed with joy.
I think to be honest if it looks closer than the first fight ie win another three or so rounds. AJ will get the nod. It's more on Usyk to clip AJ knowing it's a rematch. I predicted a Usyk win first time round but wasn't convinced he would get the nod. It makes a lot more sense to have the robbery on the second fight. As then a unification can happen. So we will have to wait and see. I said a while back Fury will have a soft touch fight which Andy (considering his last performance) and then fight Joshua for a money fight and then retire.
