Whyte rocked AJ badly and has improved since that bout, he looked better in his last fight than Ruiz did, Ruiz got dropped in his last fight and was badly hurt.

Anybody would look good against ancient post covid Povetkin who couldn't stand straight

This would be a good resume builder, therefore there is no chance whatsoever Fury does it.

It will be Kabayel or Haye.

    Good analysis...

At the end of the day, Whyte hasn't really seen a *big* payday yet and Fury could vacate, go on a mind-blowing 7-month bender and still be the guaranteed "A-side" in any matchup upon his return. If Joshua were to stop Usyk in the rematch - maybe (and only maybe) would that be at risk.

Pretty good chance that Tyson doesn't fight at all in 2022, I'd say.

It's tough to see a fight with Haye being made. He's 41 and his body has long since betrayed him. If he hadn't had those couple stoppage losses against Bellew that exposed just how badly his body has betrayed him - there would be enough mystery here for the fight to be a box office draw and get made. But those Bellew fights (which David made good money taking) - kind of spoil the illusion.

There was talk of a Kabayel fight with Fury in autumn 2020. Kabayel is a good fighter - but not really a name.

If Fury fights at all in 2022 (and I'm kind of doubting he will) - I think it's a Joshua or Usyk fight at year's end.

This is why he might fight them.

Fury only does little fights and top-end ones.

Fury did fight a couple nobodies/hasbeens when he was on the "comeback trail" leading into the Wilder fights. But looking at his record from 2011 up through the fight with Wlad - he was quite active and was fighting many of the "good names at the time" (Chisora, Hammer, K. Johnson). It's easy to be dismissive of those guys now - but the HW division was nowhere near as deep then as it is today. The WBC was off in its own little word (as it frequently is) and everybody was kind of waiting for Wlad to get old.

They were better names then they are now, but they did not wow anyone. Let's be honest.

Whyte beat up Fury in sparing - Fury of course wants Ruiz. The fat midget is tailor made for Fury. its a joke of a fight. Ruiz is a fat slob who Fury will keep at the end of his jab. Atleast we know Whyte will mix it up more while Ruiz v Fury will be a VERY BORING FIGHT

It reminded me of Rahmen when Povetkin fought him.

Fair play to Curt, he has been following and reporting on the division for years now. He's not the only one losing his mind over the latest chapter of WBC corruption. I think the vast majority of the YTBCs are part incredulous, part fed up with the WBC.

    Etc.

This might be the final WBC straw that breaks the camel's back, god willing.

It would actually be hilarious if all this results in Wilder v Fury 4. Talk about a nail in the coffin:lol:

He's an absolute fool and has no idea what he's talking about. The WBC has done everything by the rules. There's been a Hearn led UK fanboy propaganda campaign to smear the WBC because Hearn's goal all along was for Whyte to be given a vacant title without ever fighting for it.

Why would Fury vacate when he's getting 80% of the purse bid and it's an easy fight?

Because it's not a very big fight. And 80% of a "not big fight" is "not big money".

18 months ago - before Whyte got stopped by Povetkin (which hurt his name....doesn't matter that he avenged the loss) - it would have been a big fight. It just isn't any more.

Fury vs. Usyk is a big fight. So much so that all the sanctioning bodies are attempting to prevail upon Hearn and Joshua to step aside. Fury is an immense draw. Since he is also an iimmense risk to run away and join the circus or some such thing - there is urgency in getting him to agree to truly big fights sooner rather than later.

When a fighter has that sort of leverage - it really doesn't matter whether or not he's holding the WBC strap when negotiations start.
