Shows the quality of this lot of Heavyweights when Ruiz has a real Punchers chance just like he did against Joshua....
He'll get his Top Rank guarantee regardless, so what does he care? What other fight is realistic for March right now that would pay more than 80% of a Whyte fight? Add in the fact that Whyte is easy work and there's a zero percent chance of Fury vacating.
Weird, we must look at history differently… From what I remember, Joshua already displayed the blueprint on how to beat the fat, plodding Ruiz? He jabbed his face off for 12 rounds in the rematch and near enough won a shut out. Remember, that fight that 70% of ESB said he would lose? Yeah, that one. But hey, twist the narrative to hate the guy. Fair play.
Ruiz was 20 pounds heavier and had no desire to keep his titles. He was ripe for the taking. We all know a peak Ruiz would've stopped Joshua again. No heart, wafer chin, no gas, he's lost twice, and he'll loose a 3rd time next year. Don't you worry, this isn't the end of it. He'll lose several more fights before hanging them up with a record of 24 wins and 10 losses, 9 by KO
The sad part is that I think this would be a fun fight, and thus, I do not believe there is any chance it will happen. A whole lotta man in that ring.
Cool, so zero credit for redemption but still happy to provide criticism and hate in victory. Exactly as I said. Twist the narrative pal, you’re embarrassing yourself. Love him or hate him, Joshua embarrassed Ruiz in the rematch to the point his career still hasn’t bounced back. Whether Ruiz took training seriously or not, Joshua did what was required of him… But, but, but Ruiz wasn’t prepared. Tell me, when else has Ruiz performed like he did in fight 1 with Joshua? He did but it was very close, and nothing like the whitewash that was Ruiz/Joshua 2. Understandably they’re both very different fighters. Parker provided the blueprint, Joshua just executed it perfectly in the rematch with his natural advantages.
To be honest Ruiz had no interest to fight Joshua the second time. Any of a number of HWs could have smacked him silly.
History shows Fury and Ruiz can show up in awful shape. Put them in a tub of cream corn and let them wrestle it out for the title.
It's always the same.In talks with Andy Ruiz, but will end with Helenius (who btw has 2 losses from #208 cruiserweight Yury Bykhautsou)
