If the tweet is correct, then sense would dictate that Zhang fights Fury then Joyce thus collecting two paydays. If he fought Joyce 1st and loses, then there is no Fury fight, no 2nd payday. Economics will be victorious here I would suggest.
Not going to work though is it. Should zhang beat fury then there will be a rematch clause anyway. The only way is for Joyce to be paid to step aside, however given that the Fury v Zhang fight is just a stay busy fight then I can’t see that happening.
All three are contracted to Frank so that shouldn't be a big problem. It's a promoters wet dream when he can keep all World title fights in house. Frank will be earning quite a bit in the coming years with these three and also Dubious being fed to Uysk.
Zhang is a big chinese Kambosos. an unheralded underdog who upsets a contender is usually food for a genuine elite talent, who will now take him seriously. they rarely do it twice. and another Fury opponent who doesn’t move his feet…
Although it won't be easy, I do see Joyce winning the rematch when it goes ahead. I think he'll come in abit lighter, thus being more agile and will be more explosive and aggressive now he knows what Zhang is capable of.
Fury will talk the talk blah blah blah, then as the fight is in the final stages and waiting on the last few ends to be tied up Fury goes into full Diva mode demanded the moon on a stick and backs out.
Yes and that's frightening true as it may well be. If Fury gets in proper shape he will batter Zhang if not stop him, possibly from a southpaw stance. But Zhang has earned his shot by beating Joyce and seeming by some to have beaten Hyrgovic. Hes a better challenger than most. Only thing is Ive a feeling Tyson doesn't want a proper challenge and is ready to call it a day and mean it. Could establish his legacy with wins over Zhang and maybe Hyrgovic or even AJ but he just doesn't want to.
Interesting. But he surely should have known that before? Like himself Zhang was an excellent amateur and was thought to have beat Hyrgovic. Underestimating him would have been folly. I hope you're right but my thoughts are that Zhang just couldn't miss him and was easily the harder one punch hitter. Hurt him with every shot. Beating him in a return, especially if it's in China, would be a heroic win. As said I hope you're right, if it comes off. I wouldn't blame Joe if he took step aside money.
