Bad judging is really getting contagious nowadays. Rematch a big possibility??

One of my pet hates is people throwing the word "robbery" around too lightly - but it's entirely appropriate here.

I had it 7-3 for McDermott, it seemed almost impossible to score the fight for Fury and scoring it 8-2 for him is just inexcusable.

It was a clear but close points win for McDermott, I had it 96-95 for McDermott with round 1 even at 10-10 which you could argue McDermott won, making it 96-94 to McDermott.

I get the feeling Hennessy will be keeping Fury as far away from McDermott as possible.

I cant agree with that. I was following the live odds on betfair exchange
in the 9th round betting was suspended with Fury 12-1 and Mcdermott 1-18 !!!! come on the betting exchanges never lie, to say Fury won this fight is ludicrous!
Maloney called the ref Dick Turpin LOL

That was wrong. A complete disgrace. Why was there one man making the decision? Where were the judges?

At least Fury is giving the rematch. He has an Iron Jaw that's for sure. He fought like a true warrior even though he was way

out of his depth. Great fight but poor old Mac Dermot got robbed. :?

It was disgusting. I'm gutted that this was allowed to happen and it has seriously shaken my faith again in boxing. I was a fury fan going into this and thought he would easily win but he was dominated.

how can you have the ref making the decision on a title fight? surely there should be judges for fights at this level. 3 men are harder to pay off than 1

Correct, I'm another who had 5-5 and quite a good few others did too.
However I've no problem with 97-93, or 96-94 scorecards in favour of McDermott. There was no way you could have Fury winner though, and 98-92 really was a disgrace.

I had it 6-4 for McMuffin.

Bad enough Fury got the nod, 98-92 by the ref is simply unbelievable and if I was McDermott and his camp I would complain about that from the rooftops.

Short of getting knocked out, this was the worst possible result for Fury. Even an actual points loss would've been better, at least people wouldn't be labelling him with the 'protected and over-favoured' tag.

That's terrible, isn't it? If there's anything worse than seeing your guy get robbed, it's seeing him get a gift.

Wow, this might actually be a robbery from what I'm hearing. I would like to see this and why was there just one person scoring and of all people why the ref?

Exactly. There's no satisfaction in your guy winning unfairly and there's no doubt in my mind that Fury won unfairly. He didn't do anywhere near enough to even draw IMO.
