That's bull, he is using bumperplates prolly 10 kg or 15 kg a piece ...... no way near 170 kg. I respect the guy's boxing ability and footwork however he's not strong and lacks brute strength (he really is no Larry Wheels). That being said, the guy is pretty speedy and crafty(and has good footwork). A big part of punching hard is the impact, which is for a great part created by the speed of a punch and for a big guy he's pretty fast. If you look at his knockouts it has more to to with volume punching then one-punch knock-out power.
This seems to be the perfect example of how Fury's been overrated by his die-hard fanbase. He's a top level HW as it is, but to call him a probable ATG and saying that Wilder doesn't stand a puncher's chance against him is hyperbole of the highest order. That's not to say that an in shape, motivated Fury couldn't embarrass Wilder, but that Wilder, for all his flaws, has a puncher's chance against most any opponent, including the guy who got knocked down by Cunningham.
fury was getting schooled by cunningham. a washed up, featherfisted cw. he was on rubber legs for two rounds after the kd. was behind on the cards at the stoppage. only managed to win by laying on cunningham until he was exhausted. dude is the biggest fraud in pro sports today. perhaps ever.
fury is just a huge fat bum. cunningham was schooling him, until fury laying on him wore him out. truly pathetic boxer.
lets not forget he tried to intimidate alexander ustinov and ran for the hills when he couldn't. he also got stunned by featherfisted scrub nikolai firtha. he has a well protected glass jaw. worse by far than wilders.
I think he's pretty skilled, especially defebsively, and has a good reach advantage over pretty much everyone, he always looked like his footwork was lacking and he's a bit gangly moving and not very fluid.i think fury was a mighty opponent for a while, but he' not going to make a successful come back against any too 10 competitor after all the abuse he did to his body plus 3 years of ring rust
No, Fury is not overrated at all. Wilder refused to fight him......................if he gets in shape, he will be hell to beat!!!
Everyone in the current HW division is overrated. Joshua - went life and death with 41 year old Wlad, couldn't KO Takam who fought on two weeks notice Wilder - Only real name on his resume is 50 (lol) year old Ortiz Parker - total dark horse, unproven It's just good boxers beating on average or below average boxers, or going life and death with good boxers past their prime. No one currently doesn't even come close to getting their names on ATG lists.
Fury is getting overrated because people base him based on his (razonthin) win vs. an aging Wlad. Fury is nowhere close to that shape and form anymore. It will take him 3-4 tuneups to remove the doubts he has hanging over him. Let's revive this thread when he handily beat a top 10 HW!
And how did it end up for the guys who decked Fury? Double standard there nuthugger. Bottom line, Wilder decked and struggling with much weaker competition.
While you take Fury’s hairy balls out of your mouth learn something about boxing. If you don’t know **** about boxing, don’t come here and try to type something smart your little keyboard warrior
