Fury doesn't have a detached retina Fury isn't weight drained Fury didn't crash a Lamborghini's shattering his face and losing all the teeth in his jaw Fury outweights Usyk by over 50 natural pounds. Fury is love Fury is life Usyk can outbox Fury, yes we all know that. What Usyk can't do it outfight Tyson Fury.
If Fury isn't shot and was sufficiently "scared straight" by his poor showing against Ngannou - then I suppose we do have a fight on our hands. But it was not encouraging to see Tyson Fury in Rds 8-12 not throwing punches against Ngannou - particularly when Ngannou wasn't throwing punches, either. Strategic objective is the same for both fighters - retain a fuller gas tank and assert dominance in the 2nd half of the fight. Both have different ways of doing that. On paper, Fury has more means & natural gifts with which to execute - but they may be lost to him for good.
If Usyk builds a lead early - be prepared for lots of fouling by Fury and retribution by Usyk. Oleksandr is a good sportsman, but he's not going to stand there looking shocked and sad like Kovalev if his opponent gets dirty. I'm not sure there's a true A-side to this bout, but the Ref will be under enormous pressure not to issue a DQ.
I'm not so sure Fury gets an automatic nod here. If Fury wins - he may run away and join the circus for 18 months before fighting again. Nobody trusts him (Frank Warren not being an exception). The boxing federations need fights to get their sanctioning fees and promoters need fights to get their gate & box office. If Fury loses to Usyk on top of a lousy showing against Ngannou - he either triggers his rematch clause or retires (at least temporarily) to clown around with the WWF.
If Usyk loses, he'll trigger the rematch clause. Money for the rematch is too good. Maybe the fight doesn't happen because Fury is...distracted...but Usyk will trigger it. If Fury loses, he'll trigger the rematch clause, too. Money is too good.
Bwhahaha. 1) Sure, while Fury needed 150 power punches to stop a tired, flat footed, zero head movement, stationary Wilder but hurt Ngannou who didn't even blink when the tub of lard, the disgusting cheat that he is, threw an elbow in his face. 2) Francis is as slow as molasses. Fury is sloppy and has slowed down, he won't land anything significant on Usyk who has an iron chin anyway. Dear oh dear, mate. You are an unfunny bore these days. Whatever happened to the original, funny, creative troll miniq of old?
Before you overextend yourself you may also want to consider: Usyk is not a 40 year-old with 68 heavyweight fights who can count among them nearly as many stoppage losses as I have fingers on one of my hands Usyk does not exhibit the Ring IQ of a paste-eating mongoloid, unlike a certain former WBC champion whose name momentarily escapes me
