Hes been messingg around waiting for Usyk to show signs of weakness not because hes a coward but because he probably knows he wont be the "good guy" against Usyk. He cant villify Usyk, hes no longer the underdog that beat depression the way he was against Wilder and he wants to maximize the viewership.
FMJ did the same thing. Now everyone will tune in to watch him get beat.

Furys smarts are underrated. Hes a salesman and showman and he knows what role he has to play in this drama

Fury doesn't needs sales, the Saudi's don't need PPV revenue although they will get some amazing numbers. 1.5 million easily and 2 million is record levels.

You're right he's playing the villain because it's easy and you aren't going to be the "nice guy" compared to Usyk.

Fury will drop the antics and talk serious at times for this bout. He doesn't need bravado. He may drop it straight out the gate. He doesn't take Usyk lightly and knows smack talk is pointless against such a fighter.

People only scratch the surface level of Fury just the same way they did with Floyd. Both guys are incredibly smart boxers and businessmen. Neither had an easy route to stardom. Fury made no real money in boxing till after the 2nd Wilder fight. Never forget that. To fight Wilder as his comeback fight is testament to Fury's foresite and the size of his cajones. He probably didn't realize Wilder would be so tough there is way more to that man than meets the eye, hence it took a 2nd go to get it all correct and take him apart.

I hope Usyk does really well and Fury probably hopes he does also! Fury does not care. He will kiss Usyk's hand and honour him as a warrior and amazing fighter if he manages to do the impossible or not. A good fight is all that matters and Usyk feels the same way and both are getting paid amazingly for it. They will be best buddies afterwards as long as Usyk takes the roughousing tactics on the chin.

Fury doesn't have to do ****.

    This fight sells itself.

All we ask is that the fighters arrive after a great camp and ready for action.

This heavyweight division is dire apart from the top 5ish fighters who are actually quite good. Fury himself could have been the real deal if he had a work ethic like Holyfield or Klitschko. Usyk is the #1 cruiser ever, looking to make a name for himself at heavyweight.

These two guys sell themselves. Just do the fight.
