Yea - I totally agree mate. The point I'm making is just that boxing fans are fickle and Fury could at least hypothetically go from being """""the biggest clown in boxing"""" to respectable champion very quickly if only a few decisions are made. In that context it's silly to call him that, he's just a regular clown for now.
When it comes to how the champions carry themselves as champions, how they treated boxing as a whole, how valid kings they were of the division, Fury is by far the worst champion ever. Ever. Mike Tyson is a flawed character on many levels but he never ever would have treated the division, his legacy, the fans and his championship reign with such utter contempt as Fury. Name me another champion who: - calls himself the greatest not only of his generation but all time despite having fought only six title fights and made only two title defences - only fought two top fighters in the last eight years (and even that’s a stretch, to call those two top fighters when you have the likes of Usyk or Joshua in the division too) - lies that nobody in the division wants to fight him and goes on to fight an MMA guy who never had a single boxing bout in his life Name me another champion who did that - instead of defending his belt, goes on to fight exhibitions instead of cleaning out the division (or at least trying to). Ali, Mayweather did exhibitions after they cleaned their division out. Fury is cancer to HW boxing and anyone still supporting or sympathising with him hence enabling him to keep getting away with his disgusting behaviour and attitude regarding the division is an enemy of this sport.
This was already established after he un-retired and fought Chisora a third time. That fight was farcical and a disgrace to the sport.
Only if he wins those fights and without any controversy (no split decisions or failed drug tests). People aren't going to forget he drug things out when he could've fought younger fresher versions of Usyk and AJ YEARS ago.
Bro he literally cried over rematch clause, that he didn't want. Yet he have double-rematch clause against Ngannou. How can anyone try to excuse that? Not to mention the rematch clause comes from his own team. And the split Fury wanted for the rematch clause, wasn't discussed on here: 80-20 if Fury wins And 50-50 if Fury was to lose Usyk accepted 80-20 for Fury But wanted 70-30 if he was to win, which was more than fair, having in mind what the split for the first fight would have been. But as i posted already Mike already confirmed Fury ducked the Saudi fight, which was 60m. More than Fury entire purse, but he wanted 120m. He was supposedly pissed at Saudi that they offered him less than what AJ and Usyk got for their fight, aka $75m. How is that an excuse exactly? I have said this for long time, he is trying to age Usyk out. Warren was talking the other day that he is a huge believer in timings for certain fights, what that tells you ?? They are trying to age Usyk out.
