Round 1: 1:15 1:34 1:35 2:08 2:57 This content is protected If those punches had been landed by Wilder instead of sluggish Pianeta, Fury would have been counting stars.
Honestly MVC this would have to be a pathetic attempt at trolling even for you. There is no way Fury lasts to the 7th troll. Mods really need to ban him this time.
Jesus Christ. Talk about clutching at straws. Fury rode every one of those punches, taking any sting out of them. Fact is Pianeta didn't land anything significant.
Pianeta has no power left whatsoever. Wilder may spaz around in the ring. Wilder also hits like five times harder. Big difference between fatboy version of Pianeta's punches and this: This content is protected
Fact is Fury seen them all coming and rode the shots. That's what he does. It takes the sting out of punches, and it'd take the sting out of Wilder's punches too. Fury aint got a glass chin, despite what some say. He can take a shot. Wilder has to land pretty clean to hurt Fury. There's also the fact this was the first round of what was pretty much his first real fight back. Fury will be five times sharper in the next one, having stayed in shape with plenty of time to prepare and spar.
Well that's the hope isn't it? I hope for Furys sake that he's been purposely holding back and that behind closed doors he's a lot further on than we think. He will have to be, because what we've seen in the ring so far looks inadequate to prevail against a good opponent.
I think the Pianeta performance has been downplayed. He showed some excellent defensive skill in the fight at times. It was realistically his first fight back. He knew all along he was many levels above the opponent and didn't respect anything Pianeta could do. This is different. He now has ten rounds under his belt against a decent heavyweight. He's shaken off a lot of cobwebs and proved the gas tank is fine. He's remained in shape. He knows nothing less than being at his best will prevail v Wilder. He's got a whole camp and more to prepare for Wilder. He's been here before, knows exactly what it takes. He's got a chance to cement his status as the no.1 heavyweight in the division and prove WK win was no fluke. He couldn't be more motivated.
He better be five times sharper or Wilder will slaughter him. Wilder is much faster and harder hitting than Pianeta. Like Holler, I hope Fury is secretly much better than he showed vs Pianeta, because what he showed vs Pianeta is that he's still rusty and needs at least another 2 tune ups.
The gas tank was the best thing to come out of the pianeta fight. That and a more focused performance than the seferi nonsense. As for where he's at, I still worry that he's taken this fight for the wrong reasons. If he has truly been playing the longest game of rope a dope and he beats wilder in consecutive bouts then he'll deserve all the plaudits that come his way. Big if though?
In my opinion he'll do it. Never seen the man happier, in better shape this far out from a fight or more motivated. We know he has the tools.
