Very respectable defence that. Dealt with Chisora relatively comfortably and we hold him up as some sort of the benchmark test. He probably looked more comfortable than Usyk did at times.
Let’s be honest though, that version of Chisora was shocking. Time will tell how good Kabayel is, doubt we’ll find out much from Fury beating him.
That was the same Chisora we always see, he just looks one dimensional against opponents who possess decent movement.
Would people prefer he trained all year and didn't fight anyone or not train at all and put 6/7 stone on? He's entitled to take a fight and keep himself active. I can think of an awful lot of fighters who should be doing the same !
Can't argue with kabayel tbh but it hardly gets the pulse racing does it.get it over and done and make the big one pronto.
Perfectly fine fight. He’s a legit contender. Do I think he poses a threat to Fury? Nope. But I didn’t think Wallin did either.
This is a fine defence seeing as Wilder pulled out and all other potential opponents were tied up (Whyte, pov, etc.) Also I feel sorry for Kabayel cause he was clearly black listed by Hearns cause he embarrassed Del Boy. How come Hearns with all his heavyweights never even had Kabayel on a single other Matchroom show in the 3 years since. And all the Matchroom "pundits" pretend the fight never happened.
My theory was Takam was floated as a possible contender in order to make Kabayel better once they announced him. Though maybe it was a negotiating ploy to keep Kabayel's demands in check.... Anyway, a decent enough choice. Another unbeaten fighter so they can keep that line of Fury facing undefeated fighters and taking their '0'. Plus he's held the European title so there's some status there in addition to the Chisora victory. Looking forward to seeing Fury back in action.
Lets be totally honest any version of Chisora since the first Whyte fight has been shot to ****. And as i stated yesterday David Haye and Eddie will continue to pimp Del out as a PPV fighter.
I’m ok with this. Prefer this to a Takam. It’s a tick over to the AJ fight so hope both come through unscathed. This guy will probably have more success than Wilder did earlier this year
