You're right. Nothing happens with the belts. The belts have nothing to do with the contract. The IBF already stripped Fury because he was going to honor the rematch clause and not fight Czar Glazkov (remember him?:roll. But there are no mandos at the moment.

The ratings bodies only care that you defend against guys they want you to fight. Wlad isn't a mandatory.

I'm sure the contract they signed called for Wlad to get a lot bigger percentage of the money if Fury should win. Now Fury want's a bigger share. And Wlad wants to pretend he's still the champ.

Fury could just stall until the WBO decides he needs to meet their mandatory. (The WBA is a mess with no one in the mandatory slot at the moment.) And then Fury can say he just has to go with what the WBO says. And Wlad can sue the world.

Or Wlad can give Fury parity in the negotiations and just get on with the fight.

Poor Wlad.
