He still has a ways to go, but he’s come incredibly far. I would say it’s pretty good evidence he’s not just trying to “cash out.”
I don't know what's your point. He actually was losing ring rust in those two tune up fights. Getting in 14 rounds is exactly what you call "losing ring rust". Going to war with a serious opponent is not what i would call "losing ring rust". If Fury would have went to war with a solid opponent in August everyone would bring the argument "Wilder fight is coming too early" too...
I call bull**** on the ring rust excuse. This isn't the 50s with boxers fighting monthly. Heavyweights have like 1 fight every 8 months, an 'active' fighter isn't any more 'match fit' then an inactive one as long as their training regularly.
Fury is carrying a spare tire, what shape? But I do think he wants the extra bulk to boss Wilder around and make a dogfight later on.
I really want Fury to pull off the upset but if I were to bet on this fight then I'd be betting on Wilder. It's not that I think Fury can't win this fight (in-fact, I believe he could actually KO/TKO Wilder if he brings his A game,) it's because, since his comeback, I haven't seen enough of that trademark sharpness in his reflexes to convince me he can avoid that big right hand for 12 rounds. Best of luck to both men.
You guys have to remember it's not like he's been training for 8 weeks for this fight. He's been training for over a year now for a comeback, so I believe this can be the best version of Tyson yet.
Took two joke of a fight in his come back and you think those two bum fight helped erase 3 years on inactivity? Again, if you think those two fight was anything other than getting paid more power to you.
