The funny thing is, he doesn't seem to want to be liked. While I agree that he's entertaining to some extent and I'm not his hater, you have to admit that it doesn't look good for heavyweight boxing at all to have such a champion.

First of all he's boring in the ring and for all his boasting didn't really deliver. He did win but before the fight he constantly boasted about knocking out Wladimir and all he did was pot-shot the entire fight.

The press conferences are starting to look more and more like circus. He has some funny lines here and there but I don't really like him openly disrespecting boxing, saying that he doesn't care and so on. It looks more and more like he just wants to have some cash grab fights and leave boxing for good.

He doesn't seem to be liked by the public at all, not even in his home country.

Then there's his physique (he looks like a fat clown) the gif of him punching himself in the face and so on.

His entire persona just can't be taken seriously and makes the heavyweight division look like a joke (while it's far from that in reality).

Fury won't be 40 pounds overweight by time the fight gets here he will be motivated and in shape. The issue I have with Fury is him talking about being 'boring' yet the guy rivals Haye in who throws the fewest punches in a round. The referee had to stop the Chisora fight and tell Fury to throw a proper Jab he wasn't even willing to commit to a proper Jab he just likes to sit back and flick out a Jab and win rounds by landing 8 punches. If he didn't talk like he does it wouldn't matter but he talks about sparking people out and does he have one proper KO on his resume? Against Cunningham he had to clinch, foul. grab, hold, and forearm to get a stoppage and only won because of his size.
