Fury isn't as smart as most people think. Half of the time, he really is just a big idiot, but his opponents are even dumber for falling for his mind games. Getting hit in the head isn't the best way to improve ones intelligence.
Not mind games. Sounds like Fury is smart enough to know that this "middleweight" is skilled enough to potentially clown him in there and undo a lot of his reputation.
So Usyk wins and this clown will retire for sure at the end of the year. We need undisputed HW champion and Fury is holding the last piece.
It will all come to light what is just playing and what is real after the AJ fight. If Usyk wins and Fury doesn't want to make the fight, the fear will be obvious. If he clearly does, then there we are. If AJ wins, then we're in trouble. Fury isn't a scholar, no, but he's smart for a boxer and for his lineage, likely the smartest in his family, with Shane + Uncle Meth probably tied for second. The rest appear to be complete mongs. Not sure where he got his extra smarts from, possibly his mother, but the fact she copulated with his father is a devastating blow to that theory. But since she's English, there's credit in the family tree Tyson might have drawn from, or it was just a genetic mutation.
Middkeweight has him running away from boxing though. He can try to belittle him all he wants but it just makes him look even worse for being scared of him. Scared that Usyk might expose him.
Usyk the boogey man of the division, they check under their beds for him at night. Usyk just pops out when they least expect it too. Speed, skills, tremendous ring IQ, stamina, and stinging power. None of the top heavyweights are in a rush to possibly get exposed and embarrassed by him. Fury should be jumping at the opportunity to beat down a so called MW out of his division.
Fury retires when Usyk takes over is same thing Floyd retired to avoid the Filipino when Manny took over the division
