    BS.

    You said 60’s Ali.

Rapid fire combinations, up on his toes all night.

What on earth do you think has happened since?

A left hook is a left hook.

    Have new punches been invented?

His opinion is ridiculous, especially considering that he’s just lost to a guy of Ali’s exact size, who like Ali, has limited punch power but great movement.

However, he’s probably just stirring the pot for some exposure, just like Mayweather used to.

It’s nothing to do with group think mentality.

    It’s just pure common sense.

Any knowledgeable fan will refute it.

    Behave.

If anyone genuinely believes that Ali couldn’t even compete today, they don’t even deserve to be fans.

    Let them find another sport.

And the ironic thing is, Usyk is the exact same size, and beat Fury on great movement, but with limited power.

that may be the case but asking him to step down is laughable. There’s definitely an element of group think among younger people though who have never seen him fight, same as the people who think Mike Tyson beats every heavyweight who ever existed.

We have to sort out the knowledgeable posters from the casuals.

We also have to remember that he’s a walking contradiction.

    It must be his bipolar.

He’s lost me as a fan over these last few years.

Why in the hell do folk even listen to the crap Fury spouts, and if they are foolish enough to listen, then how can you take seriously anything he says?

As my grandfather said "Empty barrels make most noise"

If you really buy into the idea of there having been a big leap evolutionary leap since the 1960s/70s then you haven't got a good read on the sport. You are your mass produced, 'things were good from the 80s onwards' type of person. You enjoy boxing. You don't study it.

It is quite apparent, for instance, that heavyweights are not the combination punchers they were in the 90s. That's thirty years ago.

It could also be asserted, with plenty of film as evidence, that a 1930s Joe Louis remains the king of combination punchers. That's ninety years ago.

I've heard the term "stab jab" from more than one commentator. Maybe that's a new one. A new term, anyway.

Perhaps the self uppercut Loud? I hadn’t seen that one before. Very sneaky.

Imagine proving yourself to have a terrific punch and granite chin in the very same instant of time.

Never let it be said that Fury can only dish it but not take it.

He’s clearly prepared to take one to give one - or was it the other way around? :D

The thing here is Fury isn't looking at this objectively. Hes the 2nd biggest HW champion if he believes in the whole evolution of boxing thing that means he is one of the greatest HWs ever. Opposed to boxing Tim Sylvia. Of course he believes in the evolution of the sport its the line of thinking most compatible with his ego.

When you listen to Mike Tyson hes always talking about "exciting fights" he called Beterbiev v Bivol a boring fight. Why does Tyson approach the world this way? Because he is one of the most exciting HW champs ever.

Tbh i doubt he said this. He imitates Ali regularly and looks like he respects fighters of the past more than most boxers. Also the OP looks like it was written by chatgpt, fury would've thrown some colorful vocabulary.
A similar thing happened in mexican media with Tyson saying that Canelo was a *****, but when you try to research theres zero proof anywhere
