For better or worse, should anyone be interested, this is my take on the upcoming crossover event. Cheers!

Great vid as always, Not Quasimodo

I agree we're in for something close to a glorified sparring session. I'm even gonna go as far as saying Fury doesn't knock him out, though not because he can't. I feel like we got ten boring rounds in store for us, meant to be nothing more than Fury getting one of his buddies a big pay day. I'd be happy to be wrong though, cause aside from a few exceptions this entire year has been wasted at heavyweight. I'd love it if Ngannou were able to make Fury get out of first gear even if it was just for a round or two.

All that being said... this is boxing, and anything can happen. There's also a big fight we all actually want to see right around the corner, so... Let's hope Tyson doesn't live up to his namesake in a certain way

Got a very good feeling Rummy's Streak '23 will be increasing to 9-1 very shortly :ggg

Really more of a question of what round, isn’t it?

As always, an enjoyable video @Rumsfeld. Thanks for posting. I do have a couple of comments.

    1. You say many boxing diehards are critical of the crossover event because of the sideshow atmosphere. I think the sideshow atmosphere which surrounds Fury, seemingly at all times, is the reason many are critical of Fury overall.

    2. You mention that Fury is the "rightful, lineal heavyweight world champion.". I have a bit of a hard time agreeing with that. While I agree that Fury is the man who beat the man and that always makes a fighter the lineal champ, I can't say that a boxer can stop fighting for as long as he wants and still maintain that title. Immediately after beating W. Klitschko, Fury took 925 days off before fighting again and didn't have a title fight for another 175 days. That is more than three full years without a title bout and I just think that is more than enough time to render the lineal title vacated.

    3. Please God, don't let Ngannou win. That would be horrible for boxing.

    thank you for the video.
from an old man's perspective on this matchup.
i don't mind if a retired pro boxer steps in for a pay day against a MMA guy or fight another retired boxer. heck i enjoy seeing some of these older fellas stepping in for one more day in the spotlight. one more night hearing the roar of the crowd chanting their name. but an active world heavyweight champion fighting a person with little to no boxing experience seems a bit off to me. there are fighters who have worked hard to earn a shot at the title. then all of a sudden a guy comes in from UFC and everyone else has to sit back and wait?

i understand that boxing at its core is a business and all participants have to make money. but this just feels wrong to me.
i like tyson fury. but honestly the one he should be fighting is olexander usyk.

the way things are going it wouldn't surprise me if fury decides to fight jake paul next. i'm sure the payday would be a good one. but what do i know? other than picking inoue to win my boxing predictions have not faired so well for me. :) ( i still like spence)

thank you again for taking the time to make the video. darn good stuff.

Watching Dillan Danis' horrible performance in boxing against a YouTube boxer pretty much confirms there is zero chance Ngannou has against a professional boxer, let alone the HW champ.

To be fair to Francis, Dillon is ****ing terrible. Francis can beat some of these HW bums forsure but no chance against a top 20 guy.

Fury isn't going to treat Francis like an MMA bum, that level of complacency is needless. If he can KO him in 1 round he will...Depends what mood he's in. I don't expect Fury to wear punchers gloves though. Got to protect them hands but that in itself will dictate the game plan. If he cracks Francis and he doesn't move then he will draw it out a little, make him gas maybe make a show of it.

Fury needs to focus on what names to call Usyk post bout.

We have seen how it works in previous events like this one.

The pro boxer carries the noob wannabe boxer so that the fans dont feel that they have been scammed. And that's all.

Fury hasn't fought since Dec. 2022, and now he's fighting this circus side show? Since he won't be in the ring with a professional boxer for way over a year he should be stripped of the WBC belt.

I mean you must be on crack cocaine to still hold this opinion

Anyone with half a braincell could see both Fury & Usyk were angling for the Saudi money and it took them 12 months of stalling to get there. Usyk almost getting bellied by a scrub in the process.

Plastic belts? Who the hell cares. Nobody. Either decide yes they have value or no they don't, even though it's clear they're garbage you still say "strip" because you think these belts have value and are legitimate? lol. Really you just want to knock Fury.

When all is said and done within the next 3 months Fury will have added yet ANOTHER undefeated long reigning champion. A giga champion. Possibly the best cruiser ever to his resume and there is nothing anybody can say about it. We already know the post fight excuses and crying will be "Uysk got old overnight, he was too small, he broke his nail when Fury headlocked him" but it's too late. The prophecy of Fury will be foretold.

The man who beat the man then beat the next best man and then beat the next best man. Cleared and dominated the true competition in his era. Who is he missing from his resume really? All of the other bums people like to claim deserve to fight Fury get chinned every other day. 50 year old Zhang maybe but if he fights Hurgo he very well could be another "killer" who gets written off. effectively retired Usyk & Fury aren't fighting Hurgo for a packet of crisps funnily enough one of them plastic belts you hold so dearly will give themselves to him anyway, so all is golden isn't it?

Anyway Francis Nnganoi is going to knock Fury out so make sure to buy the PPV. $189.99 RRP.

    Thanks for watching!

    1. Fair enough.

    2. I would say there are historical precedents where champions have gone longer without fighting. Dempsey, for instance, once went more than 3 years without fighting at all, a longer gap then Fury had out of action.

    3. Agreed.
