The alphabet bodies are corrupt and always make stuff up as they go along.

Fury last defended the belt in April of last year. That is a shorter gap than:

The WBA (before Usyk beat Dubou, it had been nearly 5 years since AJ defended against WBA mandatory Povetkin).
The IBF (they have not had a mandatory challenger since Pulev if memory serves, which is coming on 3 years).
The WBO (Usyk was their last mandator and he won that belt more than 2 years ago).

While I do understand the point you are making, I'm not a fan of boxers being stripped as a general rule, especially with the corrupt mess of alphabet soup and their pay-to-play schemes.

Please nobody buy this. I'm a Fury fan but his wallet deserves punishment for this nonsense.

Anyone with half a braincell could see both Fury & Usyk were angling for the Saudi money and it took them 12 months of stalling to get there. Usyk almost getting bellied by a scrub in the process.

All of the other bums people like to claim deserve to fight Fury get chinned every other day. 50 year old Zhang maybe but if he fights Hurgo he very well could be another "killer" who gets written off. effectively retired Usyk & Fury aren't fighting Hurgo for a packet of crisps funnily enough one of them plastic belts you hold so dearly will give themselves to him anyway, so all is golden isn't it?
