According to a report this morning - admittedly from Sky: "Tyson Fury is not yet licensed to box in New York or Las Vegas, despite his plan to challenge Deontay Wilder, Sky Sports can reveal." 'Nevada State Athletic Commission and New York State Athletic Commission, responsible for the two likeliest locations, have confirmed.... that Fury has not applied for a licence.' Thoughts? https://bit.ly/2PTW6Ib
I can believe this and it may be the stumbling block. But money talks and it should be easy enough to make go away.
I tend to agree, getting a licence should not be a problem. But why has it yet to be sorted, is my concern. Surely the legal ability to take part in a professional boxing match would be pretty high up Fury's to-do list?
Would be good though to read about venue, date etc sooner rather than later. Fury was talking about an eight-weeks camp starting in September. There's a lot to sort out in 8/9 weeks it seems...
Yep this. No reason why he would have a license when he hasn't fought there since Cunningham. Also I doubt he has an American visa either is that something else that is utterly pointless that we should bring up?
Warren et al, need to kill this story though. Hearn would be all over Twitter this morning if it was one of his fights brought into question. Frank hasn't tweeted for 18 hours....
brilliant reason for both to pull out. how embarrassing would it be for both if this fight was not made now. would be funny, so so funny
