As lazy as Fury is, he has 1 big fight in him and then its over.

Dont be fooled by the Ngannou performance, you could lose **** ton of money.

To me, most of the forum members (the vast majority, but not all; there are experienced boxing experts) seem to react too emotionally (not sure if it's called "hype") to every important fight.
    In terms of:
1a.) If Usyk beats Fury there will be an example of him being considered the GOAT heavyweight
2b.) if Fury beats Usyk all criticism of Fury will be forgotten as well as his poor release against Ngannouy

As ever, there is nuance in these discussions. My take is that, yes, Fury really needs to beat Usyk. But he had always needed to. And AJ too, at a bare minimum. Then we could confidently say he IS the best of his generation, and start reasonably having a discussion about him being an ATG.
My issue with Fury has, for years, been that he talks the talk but only occasionally walks the walk. Fighting Chisora in a trilogy bout and taking on Ngannou might pad your record and your bank account. But it doesn't add anything to the claim of being the man at heavyweight - or in history. Usyk and AJ are fights he should have taken years ago.
It's not that Fury is no good. I think he has shown flashes of really special stuff. But we can't grant him a status he hasn't earned yet. Make no mistake - these crucial legacy defining fights are only happening now because he has been backed into a corner. And it may now be the case that he has left it too late - in terms of his youth and aging body - to win them.

Pretty sad Fury now has to beat Usyk to surpass another nobody in Joshua. Just shows Brit fighters are all hype.

I wouldn't say they are all hype. No matter what side of the fence you are on, it's hard to argue that Fury and Joshua aren't currently top 3?

The best Heavyweight will be crowned the king in May

I picked Fury from the beginning, I will stand by my pick, I'm not a fair weather fan, but part of me will be extremely happy if usyk does win. The guy is a great fighter p4p and has been a road warrior for most of his career

I just hope the fight is decisive no matter who wins.
