Why does everyone think Tyson Fury is Mike Tyson? Other than the Wilder fight, which he got accused of removing the padding from his gloves, he's shown nothing that he's a murderous puncher. He's feather fisted as far as heavies go.
He hasn't got to be a huge puncher against AJ. Ruiz Jr dropped AJ 4 times and an old shot Arreola ate those same punches over the weekend, no problem. When AJ gets hit, he stays hit, Fury is nearly 20 stone, he carries enough weight to bury AJ.
Yeah 100%, But we are talking about AJs chin.. Also, We've seen Fury get chinned, in the 12th, by the biggest puncher in the division.. and get up and perform IMMEDIATELY. AJ stays hit for rounds, Whyte clipped him early in that fight, he was staggered and took rounds before he was comfortable enough to start fighting again Wlad dropped him, again he took rounds to recover and he did, fair play, Wlad couldn't pull the trigger and AJs youth and energy finally got him through. Against Ruiz, he was hit, dropped and didn't recover, dropped 4 times, yet Ruiz couldn't drop Parker, couldn't drop Arreola, but he dropped AJ 4 times and made him quit. AJ is brittle, Fury doesn't have to hit hard, he just need to be accurate and AJ falls.
Absolutely, they are heavyweights, anything can happen, one punch is all it takes. But I repeat, we've seen Wilder land flush and Fury has survived. And again, on the flip side, old, shot and normally rather chinny Arreola swallowed everything Ruiz had, AJ couldn't. AJ was hit with the same shots and crumbled. I honestly believe AJ has the weaker chin, Fury doesn't have to big a huge puncher to stop AJ... because Ruiz isn't a huge puncher and he stopped AJ.
Fury stated as a matter-of-fact he'll catch Joshua with the left hook to the forehead and stop him. At this point, everyone knows that's where Joshua comes unglued. Whyte staggered him with a shot there. That's where Wlad landed when he got Joshua hurt. That's where Ruiz landed and buzzed Joshua, which started his downfall. When and how hard Fury lands that shot will let us know how long that fight lasts. Joshua has heavy hands. Joshua's power isn't the question, though. It's more his heart than anything else. He's a proven quitter. If Fury rocks him with that shot and drops him, I don't see Joshua coming back from that. He'll quit before he goes out on his shield. At least, that's the precedent.
"The BBC are a pack of wankers and I don't like 'em" It's great that a British sportsperson can actually say that. 30 years ago it would have been unfathomable.
