Smoke and Mirrors....Tyson Fairy is trying to convince his already shrinking Fan base that He is the Victim...
Why doesn’t Fury just fight AJ next? Seems like that’s the only fight that’s going to generate the kind of money he wants. Would anyone really take issue if Fury/AJ and Usyk/Wilder happen?
And that is supposed to be "brilliant" and "entertaining" according to his vassals here. Lying, deceitful, conning ways are apparently "entertaining", what do you know.
Of course you take issue when the two best don't face off. Is there any other sport where you should be happy with anything else?
Fury has lied so many times he doesn't know when he is telling the truth. He'll fight a bum again. He's got stones calling out Usyk when the latter agreed to his 70-30 cut. Fury talks loud when the reality of his chatter has yet to set in.
Whether or not Fury is lying about the exact number, it's obvious Ruiz likely asked for a ridiculous amount. He clearly has an inflated view of his value after one fight with Joshua. Since then he's done nothing significant, absolutely nothing. Even extreme Fury haters should recognise that. It's also likely Ruiz and handlers wanted to cash-out one last time, knowing he was going to lose, so wouldn't take anything less than a jackpot. It was in Fury's interests to make that fight work after the Usyk fiasco. Ruiz was a 'name' that would have taken the heat off a little and was a far easier opponent than Usyk or basically any top HW name. So it makes no sense Fury ducked the guy who would have been his easiest 'proper' opponent. But it also makes no sense to pay him an absurd fee when he brings nothing.
Fury is a joke at this point. Seems like a pattern of mood swings with the current one being on a king of the world high, problem is by the time they book a venue and find an opponent he’ll be on a downswing and retiring again. Warren needs to get smart and put a contract under fury’s nose when he’s on one of these highs. Difficult to time. There is absolutely NO guarantee that this Spartan fighters mindset will last until December. He could easily go down in history as the man who ducked the middleweight for all the belts. Legacy scuppering behaviour, it can’t be ignored.
I don't think it's down to Fury's bipolar tendencies anymore. I think he's now more about the money than any other fighter on the planet and it's all very calculated - even at 70-30 Usyk was still considered not worth it risk vs reward. Only way that fight is happening any time soon is if the Saudis come up with something ridiculous to make it happen. More likely Fury just fights the lowest risk opponent possible that they can still stick on PPV and in a stadium. Ruiz fits the low risk bill but I guess not only would he not accept something lowball like Usyk did, but actually wanted more than he's worth. Never going to fly with Fury when the pound note is all that matters.
