I believe that’s a poor evaluation but I can understand why you would feel that way. It’s an unfortunate generalization based on your personal interpretation of Wilder and a slight biased for what you’re familiar with.
That is my whole question. Is he ready. If he can beat Wilder I think he will be pickem or favored against Joshua. Fury is a guy with so much talent, but mentally I would not depend on if he were on for a fight if I were a betting man.
As an Aussie I don't have any national bias, I was supporting Wilder purely because I want to see the AJ-Wilder fight in April, that said.. I have been watching a lot of the build up videos by IFL and the other youtube boxing channels, Tyson is a lot more likeable than Wilder. Now I think honestly I don't mind who wins, I am still picking a Wilder KO, but if Fury does pull it off then fair play to him and well what a story that makes.
Wilder is a very flawed fighter. He has a lot of power and speed, but his punches are wild and keeps himself open a lot. As they say his defense is his offense and he is tall and long. A sharp fighter who keeps his distance and can counterpunch can beat him and stop him. And Fury or Joshua are those fighters. Especially Fury. Joshua is not as awkward as Fury but he is stronger.
I think after these comments that a lot of people are going to be going off Wilder. This ldbc moronic race baiting nonsense really isnt good for boxing and isnt good for him financially in terms of gaining and keeping fans. Wilder needs to reconsider who he is spending time with and his influences. He definitely needs to avoid being in the media making these comments again. Kayne West would disagree with him I am sure. I am not pulling for either guy to win. I am more interested in the event and then seeing the winner face AJ, so we can get to an undisputed number 1 of the division. This content is protected
Neither guy, and it's hard to pick one that would be better for boxing if they win. I'm putting my 'money' on Wilder though
Not a fan of either, so don't really care all that much who wins. If I had to pick anyone it would be Wilder as Fury was done for doping and I don't condone that and Joshua/Wilder is the fight I want the most in boxing right now. But if Fury wins I won't be too upset as we get to see Wilder fanboys have a melt down and then jump ship to the next pretender. Plus if Fury is back to his old self then Joshua/Fury is a far more competitive fight than Joshua/Wilder as I think Fury's style gives Joshua far more problems than Wilder's.
This is a real, what do you call it, Sophie's Choice? Hobson's choice? I mean I find it hard to pick. Gun to my head, I'll stick with my countryman and go for Fury. A loss would pretty much put him out of the game, and I'd like to believe that unlikely comebacks are possible. I'd also like to believe that skill beats power. Ideally, Fury takes a hard-won decision and both fighters can hold their heads high afterwards.
Quite simply I would be happy to see a double knockout or both lose their cred due to new PED use. These are two of the most irritating clowns even in bxoing history which is littered with ego issues. Fury still calls himself a champion without a hint of irony. What a flop. Wilder winds out that speech in front of University lecture that sounds like its been fed directly into his earpiece because its nothing to do with his career so he cant be making it up. Double Sham!
Well I am not part of either teams, but I feel like I want to see Fury dropped down just because Wilder vs Joshua will be way way way more entertaining than Fury vs Joshua.
